Another unsupported assertion. That clown actually thinks she should have changed DOES's computer system. Hopefully he will learn a bit about how the government works if he win his ANC race. Apparently the McDuffie crowd has adopted the strategy of just making allegations but not offering any facts to support what their claims. I could say any number of negative things about McDuffie's oversight of the agencies his committee oversees. But, unlike the McDuffie supporters, I can actually support what I say with facts. McDuffie had oversight of DC's sports betting app. First, he allowed the contract to be awarded as a no-bid contract amid allegations of cronyism. Then, instead of raising money for DC, the app actually cost us $4 million. The app even failed to work during the Super Bowl. A more responsible Committee Chairman would have demanded a competitive process for selecting a company to operate a sports betting app and would not have allowed DC to be stuck with a substandard money-losing disaster. |

Both my wife and I had fraudulent unemployment claims filed in our names. We both emailed Silverman's office for help. No response whatsoever, not even an acknowledgement that they had received our emails. So we wrote to Mary Cheh, who personally responded to us to tell us that she would raise our issue with Silverman. Only after doing that did her office respond (with completely erroneous info on the steps we needed to take).
So yes, she has been a failure. |
Way to tell on yourself |
Silverman's job is oversight. You seem to believe that she actually runs the agency. The agency is actually run by someone appointed by Mayor Bowser. If that agency is not performing to your expectations, you need to take it up with the Mayor. It is really strange to ignore those whose job is actually to run the agency and focus your anger whose role is limited to oversight. What did you expect Silverman to do on your behalf? All she can really do is communicate with the agency, which she does. |
I expected her, or someone in her office, to at the very least respond to my email. Her office didn't until it was scolded by another council member. I mean, it's the bare minimum. |
| McDuffie needs a job. If he cannot run for the Council, then he will be wholly dependent on getting something in the Executive Branch. |
| Good! Mcduffie listens to the developers instead of the NIMBYs! Maybe he'll upzone all of ward 3 instead of what we have now. |
|
????
Progressives are the ones fighting for new development and affordable housing in Ward 3. |
| Not everyone lives in Cleveland Park. There are plenty of us from around the Ward and on other parts of the corridors who want more density, who want more affordable housing and want more and safer transportation options. |
If you’re like Trish Duncan you support more density - anywhere but in your immediate neighborhood! |
| Good thing I am not like Trish Duncan, then. |
