Yeah but OP is mixing peanut butter in it too. Even if she used non fat Greek, with the peanut butter added in, that is plenty of fat plus protein to keep most people satisfied. |

actually plant based fat is much better for you than fat from dairy/animals. |
I alwys eat full-fat. Lower/nonfat just upsets my stomach. Fat fills you up. You end up eating less overall. |
For the yoghurt-with-an-h person: Does "colour" bother you too? Have you never lived in other countries? |

I'm the poster who spells yoghurt with an h. Surprised at the passive aggressive comments here. I grew up in the UK. Most words like colour I still spell with u. Some words like realize I use a zed versus s now. I don't know why it annoying for people here on this board. Rather intolerant of differences I suppose. Our language is ENGlish though. So I'm not wrong. Neither are you. |
In terms of what raised your cholesterol you have to experiment and get tested.
I’ve tried low and full fat dairy to figure out what keeps me feeling full. Right now I’m having 1/3 cup of whole milk kefir every day which seems to keep me full. I’ve been reading about probiotics a lot. My cholesterol can run high - I try to balance this off with grains |
Most doctors don’t know anything about nutrition, sadly. It’s not a big part of medical school and they don’t keep up with changing research. You’re probably not eating all that much of it and if your numbers look good, just keep doing what you’re doing. We were all indoctrinated with the “fat is bad” mantra for most of our lives and that’s reflected in your fears, but you’re eating whole foods. Making yogurt is a process but you’re not eating “processed foods” so I really wouldn’t worry about it. |
I eat full fat/no added sugar yougert and almonds every day and peanut butter about once a week and always put olive oil on my vegetables . I am not overweight. |
I have at least two tablespoons of peanut butter a day on my toast and I don’t like yogurt but have lots of whole milk in my coffees. No high cholesterol or triglycerides for me. |

Same, I love peanut butter. I switch off and in between full fat yogurt and peanut butter daily as a way to get some good fat and protein into my diet. |
The whole milk yogurt in my fridge has 3 grams of saturated fat per serving. That's unlikely to send anyone over the edge. |
I eat one serving of full fat plain yogurt for breakfast every day with just a sprinkle of granola on top to make it more interesting (I rotate through flavors). I’ve lost ten pounds over the last 6 months and haven’t made a ton of other changes. |
