Machine guns have been illegal since the mid 80’s. Educate yourself.

They are responsible for those babies ripped apart in their classroom. Over and over and over again. We should just pile the bodies at the front door.

I haven’t been there. Is there a site nearby where we can erect a giant memorial to victims of gun violence?

You can see if from I-66. I'm not sure about a site nearby, as it is near some condos and behind an office park. But it is worth thinking about

There’s an elementary school right there. Maybe the school district can lease the land so we can make a sculpture - one concrete corpse for every child killed by the NRA’s funding of terrorism. To be “honest” about it, we’ll start with the victims of Uvalde and go from there, adding another tiny concrete body for every child murdered by their gun-toting parent. One for each drive by. One for every child who found daddy’s gun in his nightstand and got shot by their two year old brother.

Well that needs to change. Hopefully armed drones in private hands will level the playing field against those 4th graders.

I thought there was a weekly protest every Tuesday. Maybe they thought more would come and on different days.

Why did Rs accept for machine guns to be illegal back then?

I bet if today's crop of Rs were in charge back in the 80s, machine guns wouldn't be illegal. Rs back in the 80s were a lot more moderate and sane compared to today's Rs. I mean, the Brady Bill was signed by Reagan.

-former R back in the 80s/90s.

Use Jizo statues. In Japan, it is common to see groups of Buddhist Jizo statues. Jizo protect children - either unborn (miscarriage, stillborn, etc) or those who pass before their parents. It is very moving to see row upon row of these and realize how many parents are grieving.

That’s an idea that would make it tolerable for in front of children. The kids have to drill, and rather than get rid of assault weapons Republicans want to arm teachers and take away windows and doors, so children should be made aware of which political party is fine with their fellow classmates across the country being slaughtered.

People should stand outside the NRA building and yell, 'BABY KILLERS!!!"

You mean like the hippies in airports in the 1970s who screamed that at anyone they saw in uniform?

Yeah, no.

A hearty welcome to all assault-weapons apologists! Appreciate you! When the next mass shooting?

Why is the NRA even still in Nova? Wouldn't they find Texas a far more hospitable place for a HQ?

There are many of us in DC and NOVA still that are pro gun. I’m a member of a black rifle owners club in DC. As black folk, we take 2a very seriously given our history with the government. We as black folk have every right to not trust the US government ever again (if you are white, read history before you call me a quack) and every right to be armed against it.

I don't understand this line of argument at all, regardless of skin color. This isn't the 18th century where a bunch of red coats without supply lines have to fight against an entrenched population.

Do you not realize that if the mighty U.S. government wanted to take you out, or take a few thousand people out at once, it has the means to do so in a few short hours without any collateral damage to its troops (with most of that time spent simply finding you assuming you were on the run and hiding and a minute to actually kill you?) What's your AR-15 gonna accomplish? It wouldn't even qualify as bringing a knife to a gun fight.

You people just watch way too many stupid action movies.

NP. New machine guns are illegal. You can still buy pre-1986 machine guns.
