NRA Building in Fairfax

Anonymous
Why has there been a Fairfax County Police presence there since Tuesday? (Even after hours) What are they afraid of? I mean Lord knows the NRA has guns to "protect" themselves. The irony is incredible. Further, why are we as taxpayers having to pay for that?

Maybe they're afraid I'll be burned down like the reproductive health clinic in Casper Wyoming that was on fire due to arson.

Aren't gun rights their hallmark? We should be able to walk in there armed with machine guns.

Why can't they protect themselves? Aren't they supposed to be good guys with guns who are capable of stopping bad guys with guns?

Why do you have a problem with this, OP?

I’m not OP, but it’s time for anyone entering an NRA building to be made as uncomfortable as people trying to enter abortion clinics. We need to show up regularly to harass and taunt them, call them child murderers, and display crime scene photos depicting the aftermath of gun violence.

If I had the money, I would buy ten million eggs and let them get rotten and then hire a fleet of helicopters to drop the rotten eggs on the NRA builing. I would also do the same for Mar-a-Largo, Texas State House. If fifty million of us would contribute $1.00 this could be a reality.

Their poor down wind neighbors.

Better to give the money to Everytown and Moms Demand and vow to never vote for a Republican again.

Op here. To address a couple of the questions:

Nope, nothing planned at all. Just thought it was highly ironic that the NRA had County Police sitting in their parking lot to - what appears to be - to "protect" them (note - no lights on, just sitting there). Maybe they are off-duty and earning extra money like many do directing traffic near private events. (If so that further adds to the irony if the NRA is paying for it.) It stands out because to address the "creepy" comment, when you pass it twice daily (to and from work) you tend to notice things on you path. Maybe you never leave your house - who knows?

My house of worship has to pay for off-duty police officers to ensure that people feel safe attending our services. If the NRA is getting that kind of protection from taxpayers, I absolutely want to know.
