30something couples, what is your HHI?

Anonymous
DW (me), 39: 361k
DH, 40: 127k

If you'd asked when we started dating (and keep in mind we had about 150k in SL debt between us at that time):
me, 31: 100k
DH, 32: 90k

Anonymous wrote:Me (DW)33: $175k
DH 37: $47k (teacher)

Total: $222k

What possible benefit is there for a woman earning $175K to marry a guy earning $47K???

Signed,
A guy

What is the purpose of this post other than to humble brag?

DW (38): $100,00
DH (39): $400,000 with a $100,000 bonus usually

So total HHI is somewhere between $500-600k depending on the year. Presumably it will go up in near future since DH just made partner at his law firm.

Both of us are $36.

I make $130k and he makes $90k. Hoping for a big raise for him this year and a small one for me too. I am in education working for the public school system and he is in data analysis/accounting.

Maybe the husband takes the crap job for the healthcare benefits and the wife can take more risk with her career? Way to be a presumptuous ahole.

Some of my male teachers in HS were the best and seemed like legitimately nice, smart guys. It takes a saint to not only deal patiently with obnoxious kids and teenagers all day, but also level with them and most importantly educate them.
