In our early 30s, DH made 80k and I made 50k (PT) Late 30s, it was more like 100k, 75k Early/mid 40s we each make 135k Professor and non-profit management |

To give some context, we live in DC suburbs. 39/40
Me: 60k (PT accounting) DH: 150k (fed IT) DH became a fed 6 years ago and is finally at his pre govt salary. However, we bought our house in 2010 and are content where we are. I may go back FT in a few years when both our kids are in school. |
