So then that’s a big drawback for those of us who don’t work at home…

I empty it at work on a heavy day..Same as at home. Take out , dump , replace.

I've tried the cup several times. Every time: yeast infection

And that's with the recommended cleaning and sanitizing.

OP here. I found a bunch of different types, including the Tampax cardboard applicator and ob (all sizes) at Rodman's today.

I happened to notice that the CVS (in Taunton MA) tampon shelves were basically empty of tampons yesterday when I was shopping. I had to go to the Walmart next door to shop for other items and checked their shelves for the heck of it. I did not see one box of tampons on their shelves! I had a partial hysterectomy about 12 years ago, so I am not in need. I feel sorry for all of the women who do need/use tampons (and the people around them when they get upset!!! )

I can’t for the life of me get the cup to sit right consistently although it does help on the heaviest night.

The good news is that you are set until menopause or you're going to be rich if the apocalypse hits.

Isn’t it messy to take out?

If it is you can wash your hands easily!

You can wait until you get home, that’s the beauty of the cup, you can leave it in for 12 hours. You will forget you are even on your period.

Are you a heavy bleeder though? On my heaviest days I go through a super-plus every 3 hours. And while that’s usually only a couple days, it’s unpredictable in that sometimes I’ll have a couple heavy days, then a light one, then a heavy one again. A cup would bake me so anxious and no way am I dealing with having to empty it at work!

NP, I was an extremely heavy bleeder (made me severely anemic). The cup is definitely the best option, though mine was so heavy it would overflow in an hour sometimes - but that’s like getting through a super plus in ten minutes. I wore a pad too and emptied it frequently, no issue in public bathrooms unless there was no toilet paper.

But if you aren't careful it can be a real pain to use in a public restroom. Like it can spill everywhere.

I use the OB tampons and have noticed the same thing.

Same. Where are my OBs!!!!

You better pray because my holy grail Kotex Security became scarce and then I found out they stopped production. Devastating blow.

Omg no!! I hadn't seen them for awhile but stupidly assumed it was just another shortage. Whyyy.

Yeah, absolutely not on the cups for me. Not creating another pseudo crime scene in the work restrooms.

No. I often do it in the shower so I can also easily clean it. Shower once a day? Tend to your cup then.

You can.easily wear it for 12 hours or more without needing to dump. Even on my heaviest of heavy days I can go 8 hours. Why would you ever need to do anything about your cup in a public restroom?

I won't use them with applicators and have been having a hard time finding OB for two months now. Tampax and playtex everywhere, but OB has become the unicorn in my area, even online.

? When I go into the office I'm there for a minimum of 9 hours, plus commute. I go straight to the gym down the street afterwards, for 1-2 hours depending on the day. Being able to go 8 hours isn't enough.

OB has had production issues for years, pre-pandemic.
