Narrator: it's food poisining. |
This made me snicker. I eat other stuff from Chipotle and NEVER get sick (and I never get lettuce on anything else). So...is the e coli on the lettuce or in the dressing??? |
I’ve had food poisoning. Getting the s**ts isn’t food poisoning. |

Anything super oily. I was told it's called "jewish stomach." I'm a person who blots the pizza before eating it. I cook chopped meat, then dump it in the strainer and then dump it back in the pan to get some of the oil out (and I buy the leanest type to begin with).
After I read Fast Food Nation I stopped eating fast food. Then about four or five months later, I went with a friend to a fast food place, but got violently ill. Haven't had it again in over 15 years. High sodium gives me a terrible headache. I tried chugging water while eating high sodium foods, but that doesn't help. I just can't eat ramen, or a big bag of chips or anything very salty. |
| Most dairy doesn't sit well with me. I seem to have developed pretty bad lactose intolerance sometime during my 30s and now milk, yogurt, sour cream, ice cream, and soft cheese causes stomach upset and frequent trips to the bathroom. Lactaid sometimes helps, but I prefer to avoid dairy-centric dishes altogether. |

Anchovy in anything cooked anyhow.
And I grew up in the Bay and love fish and crab. |
I have this in my family, we call it [Irish last name] stomach. |
|
Chocolate gives me heartburn, brownies especially.
And chiles make my a** hurt later. Citrus also tends to (whole fruit, not juice) |
| Papaya gives me rancid gas. |
|
Avocados. I throw up almost instantly every time.
Hot dogs. They just make me feel queasy. |
|
Indian food. No idea what’s in it. I eat spicy food and the other components of Indian food all the time, so that’s not it. I am allergic to shellfish. Maybe there’s some cross-contamination happening somehow?
Too much cabbage makes me painfully gassy forever. |
| Onions, garlic, wheat, dairy. It sucks. |
| Red onions. Not sure it qualifies as an allergy, because the only reaction is diarrhea. All other onions, raw or cooked, are totally fine and I love them, but throw a red one in there and I'm spending the night on the toilet. |
| Anything that consists primary of simple carbs and sugar. I just have to be careful to moderate quantity. I can have one CCC but not the ten I want. |

Lettuce - iceberg, romaine, butter, it doesn’t matter. All lettuce. Even a slice or two on a sandwich.
It’s terrible because I love salads. |
