I’m sitting in the bathroom pitying myself because my stomach feels like absolutely death after eating grilled cheese. This happens every time I eat grilled cheese (from any restaurant). I don’t react to any other dairy food so i think it’s just the greasiness. What is one food that you like to eat that is guaranteed to make you ill?
Donuts and ground beef.
Chipotle, every damn time. I have no idea why; I don’t believe it’s foodborne illness or bacteria, just that my stomach does not like some ingredient. It’s as reliable as a laxative. And I still go every once in a while.
Certain hot sauces kill me and I’m a hot sauce addict. It’s not pretty when it goes wrong and it’s totally unpredictable…
NoRo virus. It was the worst 3 days of my life!
Oysters
Avocado. I can have about 2 bites; any more and my stomach hurts. A shame; I love guacamole.
No idea, it's totally unpredictable. I have spent 15 years outside of the US eating sketch things like sashimi from the back of a pickup truck, but each time have been legitimately sick has been in DC. Most recently, Reverie tasting menu had my DH and I in separate bathrooms sh++ting our brains out so I guess that. Not sure it was a specific ingredient, but the overall menu did it.
Quinoa. I feel like I’ve been poisoned every time I eat it.
Ice cream and yogurt. Sadly this a more recent development.
Lol, the question was which foods not which stomach bugs |
|
Raw onions, garlic, and celery make me throw up asap.
Peppers in any cooked or uncooked form. Allergy to dairy, but it won't kill me kind, it is just destroying my immune system. A for dairy, before I knew had the allergy, which I did not know as a kid, I would gag to hell from milk with that gross formed top. We used to get milk every morning, fresh from cows. Grandma would boil it and serve it to us, that gross layer would show up and I would just gag if I touched it. |
Fatty red meat. It turns my stomach upside down.
Doughnuts. I don't throw up or run to the bathroom, but I feel so ill after eating one.
Kale. It doesn’t make me ill ill, but I do get super gassy if I eat more than a bite or two. Spinach too but to a much lesser degree.
