s/o do people really LIKE Cracker Barrel?

Some of the food is ok and fairly plain and less expensive, it's great when we are traveling because it is a known quantity. I can usually find something there for everyone to eat.

We don't travel out of our way to go to one.

Ha ha, I think we must be related. We went on a road trip one time and the kids wanted to go to every Golden Corral we saw. The streak ended when we walked up to one and saw vomit on the sidewalk right outside the door.

Honestly, Golden Corral is disgusting (I still ate there, but am not likely to do that again, ever), but I love Cracker Barrel.

It’s not somewhere we go out of our way to eat, but their breakfast is decent IMO. The usual options, good for road trips as it is right off the freeway usually.

Op, I can almost guarantee I’m wealthier than you, and I’ve also enjoyed eating at a huge range of places including Inn At L.W., and I love Cracker Barrel. My favorite is the country fried steak and cream gravy.

Also used to love going to Friendly's...

When I first read this I read the word stop as slop. So I saw “it’s decent road trip slop” That made me laugh

No, OP. Crackers Barrel only exists so you can make threads about it on DCUM and let everyone know how evolved your tastes are. No one likes it.

OP here. Snark is obviously expected.

I think it’s definitely the best chain breakfast place. Dislike the other food.

Google Patricia from Southern Charm eating her Costco hot dog in a Bentley. She’s old money and not too proud. I bet she loves Cracker Barrel, too.

But when you are driving down 95 with kids and need a substantial break, it is nice and clean, has a porch for them to run some energy out, a cute little store to walk around, and kid friendly fare and is usually pretty expedient.

So it serves its purpose.

Please don’t let your kids act like hooligans around others in public.

NP. They're playing outside, not starting a gang war.
