s/o do people really LIKE Cracker Barrel?

I've been there a couple times, don't remember the food either way (admittedly, I have a bad memory for things like this and I am not a foodie). However, I thought the store was quite cute around the holidays and remember I bought a couple gifts there, which I did not expect.

Yup in 2004

The Sunday fried chicken years back was really good and I like the biscuits and core bread and pancakes. It’s not healthy, but once a year or so it’s great! The store is nice and my kids always find something fun to take home.

I love their biscuits and apple cider!

I love Cracker Barrel. I usually get chicken and dumplins. And walking around the little store and buying some candy for nostalgia purposes, like Candy buttons, is just plain fun. Such a nice break on a long road trip.

But when you are driving down 95 with kids and need a substantial break, it is nice and clean, has a porch for them to run some energy out, a cute little store to walk around, and kid friendly fare and is usually pretty expedient.

So it serves its purpose.

Same. We both felt so bloated and gross after eating there that we never returned. The line is long to get in. When I’m on the road, I do not want to wait an hour to eat when I could be driving home for that hour.

Then you are a sad person. You can always go home. Live a little.

I always thought it was white trash comfort food. Waffle House without the wife beater tees.

What’s sad is that you think eating at a corporate White Trash Trough is “living a little.”

It's one a year road trip stop kind of place. I got my Christmas tree decorations from there last year while waiting for a table. I remember most restaurants being near a highway, but away from other businesses. No wonder people have drive there and the parking lot is full.

Oh, honey, you ain't lived until you are white trash with money. On the other hand, you're just trash with no money.

Yes! How did it take so long for anyone to mention this. It’s so good. Other than that, I haven’t found anything I like to eat there but I stick to breakfast items. I love their porch and rocking chairs and clean bathrooms on a road trip. But it takes so long!
