At Montessori they had someone from Syphax come in and work in the office. One of my kids reported that both her teacher and assistant were not there yesterday. |
Sounds like the staff is too busy keeping kids in school to send any updates.
|
Secondary school - all kids were strongly encouraged to eat outside, most did. Better masks and better compliance.
Kids' teachers were there but a few told their classes they had Covid over break. Also kids' friends reported having Covid over break. Not sure about student absences, my kids didn't say but I noticed lighter traffic around the school. |
Did you test him through APS? if not, where did you get results that quickly- the waiting for results part is crippling my anxiety. |
NP - if you are willing to pay they have same day appts and walk-ins at Xcel Urgent Care, $150 for pcr and $100 for antigen, same day, lab on site. |
It's all about $. Sameday Testing has their 1 hour PCR option with appointments available all the time. $250 and results in an hour. |
Those things are worthless (and outdated). I don't know anyone that still does them. |
I do. |
Every day? I filled it out once last fall when my kid actually had cold symptoms. If there are no symptoms it doesn't tell the school anything at all. |
I got flack for this too! ![]() My 2nd grader came home knowing a bit about omicron. But she had science. At lunch outside in the cold, had a blast. |
I do it on schools days, but I do not fill it out on non-school days. I just have 1 kid in APS right now so it's not that big a deal. |
We did our test at our pediatrician – they did a rapid for us and gave the return to school letter. |
Last fall pur kid ran a fever for a few hours one evening. We reported it per the screener and got her a PCR test. It came back negative, but took the school nures about 36 hours to sign off on the PCR result. The delay cost our kid a day of school. Now we ignore the screener and leave the school nurse out of it. We'll fill it out if someone tests positive and we otherwise follow the rules, but don't want to deal with administrative delay for non-covid events. |
Yeah - takes 20 seconds. |
I went to the Sameday Health in Ballston, paid the extra $75 for the test. |
