ATS- Lunch inside both days. Spread out in cafeteria, hallways and classrooms.
Several front office staff out yesterday leaving them with a “skeleton crew”. Two kids sent home from my child’s class for feeling sick. |
I do it for two kids in APS. I definitely space it sometimes, and I didn't do it over winter break until the last couple of days last week. |
Just heard that the new testing provider did not test at my kid’s school today, so that’s not great unless they’re changing our weekly testing day. |
My son was told they are not allowed to drink from their water bottles all day due to Omicron |
Thanks- sounds like I need to start forking over money for my mental health. |
This was the rule in my DD's classroom last spring. They were allowed to drink from a bottle with a straw as long as the straw could slide under their mask without removing the straw. |
That seems reasonable to me. |
I’m annoyed about that. Mine has to leave instruction and go in the hallway. It’s going overboard. |
It takes a minute. If missing ONE minute of instruction is going to kill your kid, then your kid probably needs to be in a different classroom setting. |
My kid is vaccinated, and so are his peers, who are masked in a room with a HEPA filter. Are we following the science, or not? |
It’s a sip of water. I’m not saying we should unmask or not vaccinate, but like I said- that’s completely overboard. Should also add they’re eating breakfast in the same room. |
These are stressful times. I'd work with the teacher and see if a straw cup works. If not, perhaps your kid could plan ahead to get a drink before class starts? |
I am not the pp you are addressing but come on - do you even hear yourself when you say this kind of stuff?! This is absolutely ridiculous what you are suggesting. Truly ridiculous. The worst part is you can’t even see it. Talk to your doctor. Read him/her your comments. Let them help with you with your health anxiety. |
While restaurants, bars and gyms are wide open. This child abuse at this point. So ridiculous. Everyone is getting COVID. My husband has it right now. It is a cold. And yes, I'm definitely still sending the kids to school and we're not doing dumb testing either. |
The sooner people realize this, the better. There's a hardcore 30% in our county that think COVID is Ebola, and act like it. They really need mental health counseling. |
