Says the person who wears their sweatpants sitting in their basement all day and only leaves the house to get a pumpkin spice latte. You need to toughen up and stop with the covid anxiety and hysteria. |
I haven’t been to a grocery store (and only to a handful of other stores) since February of 2020. There is absolutely no need to when groceries can be brought directly to your home. See, this is what RESPONSIBLE people do. They minimize their risk and don’t take a chance on going to someplace where they might be exposed. This is what intelligent people do. But that’s not you. You’re just another dummy obsessed with freedumb. One day you’ll get covid and die, and that will relieve the rest of us of the burden of dealing with you. Can’t happen soon enough. |
Legitimately curious— do you drive or ride in a car? Did you before the pandemic? Do you walk within about 10 feet of them? Are you aware of the magnitude of severe injury or death from cars vs. COVID to a vaccinated person, especially a vaccinated person still young enough to have minor children? I’m sorry to tell you vaccinated people aren’t dying in high numbers from COVID. Not even the J&Jers. It’s gonna be a while for the change you want to see in the world. |
| Why don't we do vaccine passports for these kinds of venues, and then a choice to mask or not once you are in (depending on local numbers of cases - masking could be a requirement during a surge). I'm excited to visit NY soon because they have vaccine passports in place for establishments. It's such a nice reward and protective layer for the vaccinated . |
Ummmm No. Vaccinations do nothing to stop spread. They only ensure you probably won’t die when you DO get infected. I’ll just stay home, thanks! The rest of you can get sick to your hearts content. Maybe you’ll end up with long haul covid. But hey, you probably won’t die. Hooray? |

Wait hold the phone. So the lady who never leaves her house because grocery shopping is risking certain covid death....is
Totally fine with OTHER people doing her shopping and risking certain covid death for her own benefit? WOW |
It’s not just a weightless piece of fabric. It’s an anti-science virtue signal that does nothing but make “snowflakes” like you “feel safe.” OP I wish I dared name my NWDC gym. No one, and I mean no one, ever wears a mask. I’m afraid if I do name it, they would get a knock on the door from LaQuandra herself. The mask mandate in DC will end when it becomes even more obvious that no one is following it anymore |
| Please post the name of the gym. |
No. As stated above I don’t dare. It’s in NWDC. Do your research! |
You must be a troll, right? |
Did an irresistible person bring groceries to your home? Why would you put someone in that position? Sounds selfish. |
Sounds like DOH should be made aware of it if they’re flagrantly violating DC law. |
|
Bowser and Nesbitt like the mask mandate because it distracts from the fact that they aren't doing what they should be: getting more DC residents (particularly African Americans, who have the lowest vaccination rates by race nationwide) the shot. Easier to make anxious white liberals in DC think they're "doing something" by making everyone mask all the time.
Problem is, some communities (AAs and Trumpsters particularly in the South) will refuse vaccination no matter what. I think the responsible, vaccinated public shouldn't have to wear masks in perpetuity to protect them and their bad choices. We are past that point. This is now endemic. We have to learn to live with it without destroying businesses and forcing small children to wear masks all day. We have vaccines; we will soon have even better therapeutics for those who do fall ill. It's time to stop the insanity. And it is bad for democracy to use irrational public fear to hand over expanded powers to officials with no foreseeable end date. The temporary emergency is over. We need to hold our elected officials accountable and strip them of those emergency powers. |
Huh? I shop for my own groceries so no one, irresistible or not has come to my door. |
As we saw from the brief period in the summer when mask mandates were lifted, there is no way to prove or verify that only unvaccinated people mask and vaccinated people don’t have to mask. Anyone irresponsible enough not to be vaccinated will have no issue going around maskless. |
