Diet advice for people who are bread addicts?

I’m doing weight watchers and have switched to whole wheat lavash/ flatbread for sandwiches (now wraps, haha). Dave’s Killer Bread, Nature’s Own no-sugar whole wheat and some whole wheat pitas are also good. It took a little while for my taste buds to stop craving baguettes and rolls and the like, but I’ve come to appreciate the flavors of the substitutes, which are genuinely tasty. Substituting instead of stopping completely is the only sustainable approach for me.

Try yogurt.

Intermittent fasting. Eat what you want within your window, in moderation. Start with 16:8 and work up.

Can be very sugary, be selective about types. Greek has more protein i think, look into the healthier types. I feel like I never tolerated yogurt well. And it made me bloated.

An easy way to start, low carb bread.

First off you can not be addicted to bread. If you were to stop eating bread tomorrow you would not have withdrawal symptoms. You just enjoy bread and eat too much of it.

Rather than cutting all bread and carbs from your life just cut back. Either remove it from one meal a day or eat smaller portions are each meal. make a balanced meal with protein, veggies and the bread. Eat the rest of your meal, especially the veggies, before eating the bread.

She can get regular carb bread at Aldo that is 40 calories per slice. And it tastes good! Not like crap!

I love bread. But also realized id rather have a kittle of the really good kind than a lot of untasty kind. So i do get baguette and croissant and french country bread. But not everyday, maybe once a week with good butter. If im eating bread, im not eating rice or pasta etc that day or the next to reduce the bloat. I could live on bread and cheese and wine and apples.

I think the low carb/keto breads are just as bad. Make sure you eat whole wheat low sugar breads - and not artificially sweetened. The previous poster mentioned lavash, which is minimally processed and can be used to make sandwiches, wraps, pizza. Also the low cal thomases English muffins are a good substitute that is result available.

Whole grain, minimally processed, low sugar, high fiber substitutes may do the trick.

I love bread and don't plan to remove it from my diet. I will usually pair it up with something so it's filling and satisfying. I add hummus, egg salad, or make avocado toast. This morning I made a creamed beef and had it over a slice.

I personally find it easier to have NO Brad than just a little bread.

The same people saying IF have no idea that it often doesn’t work for women (almost no studies on women and our hormones are totally different) and yet they also somehow know keto is evil. Okay. OP, if you want to stop craving bread, do keto for two months. Yes you’ll gain some weight back but it stops the cycle of cravings.

I treat myself to a carb balance wrap if I'm really craving something. Sure it's not great, but it's lower in carbs than a bread and it usually does the trick vs. eating crackers (which are like crack for me) or eating bread.

I think of how bloated it makes me feel.
