1. McLean
2. VDA
3. Loudoun
4. Arlington

Wrong!!

1.Mclean ( I agree Mclean is and will always be a top team in the area)
2.BRYC (its the name and people always follow a good name)
3.Loudoun
4.Arlington...

10.VDA ( Bottom low level team, only kids who weren’t accepted on other top tier teams come here)

LOL. The above was from September of 2019. Just shows how wrong we can be.

I still think ultimately Virginia Union (McLean) will rise to the top (maybe not this year, but probably next year at the latest)

How many SYC players made the McLean team? Without adding significant outside talent it will be hard to rise to the top.

From what I hear over half the roster got turned over. Union is a totally different team.

Early recruitment, I like it!

How is that even possible if their best player went to VDA?

Lol who is saying she is the best player or if any player went to VDA? Some rando on the internet? You really think most parents would know the best player on a team and how they will fit on another team? As these girls age style of play becomes more and more important. A forward may be great when getting the ball at their feet in the final 1/3 but struggle on a team where they must win long balls at center half. A midfielder may be great on a team that uses a direct style winning balls and disrupting play but struggle in a possession playmaking role on a team that build through the midfield. The reverse will be true also.

How does union become the best team? Recruitment? It’s definitely not through development. It never has.

Well I have seen this before. The best or better teams in the older age groups usually are a result of a merger, players following a coach, collapse of another team, etc. Not saying Union will be the best but it looks like they added a lot of new players and have a history of putting good teams together.

My two cent big clubs do not develop players because they do not have to and development u9-u12 is boring monotonous work for the coaches and players. They rely on their pool size. Smaller clubs can not do that so they work on developing players but the players will leave to a bigger club/ECNL/GA.

Which clubs do you think are developing players? Arlington and Loudoun seem to rely on big pools of players, you say McLean does not develop players but recruits them. What about metro, VDA, etc?

How many players do the McLean 08's and older carry on their top ECNL team? I'm hearing they are adding all kinds of new players for next year.

Arlington coaches always tell the parents to take an outside player the player must be a lot better vs the existing starter. So the McLean players should be starters at Arlington. Good move for former McLean players. How many arlington player got cut?

I thought Arlington would never cut any of its players because they've been together since elementary school

BRYC will win ECNL next year in this age group. Metro will win GA next year. Anything else is just lies.

Loudoun or VDA will win ECNL division. GA will be a toss up between 2 maybe 3 teams

Nada. Richmond again. Loudoun will be fourth, VDA will be second again this year. VDA will only get worse. TD will ruin team. Only new ED can stop him, but won’t.

Only news so far and its from a very good source. Loudoun let five players go and picked up five players, four from other Clubs.

WOW!! If that's 3-4 starters that's going to be game changing for them!

Any new players added to a team had to leave from somewhere else. It’s just shuffling the deck with the same players across different teams. Will not have much impact

A lot of ‘new’ players also quickly become old players, as they are the players that switch clubs every year or two. Some of these kids are on their 3rd or 4th club in 3 or 4 years.

How often do you see 2008 player(s) that improved drastically from one year to another?

If they are unhappy at their current club they should switch. Too many parents buy into the hype and stay at clubs that are bad fits.

Coaches switch clubs so why does a player have to stay with a club?? Why are these clubs/coaches recruiting and holding ID clinics during the season?? Why are there supplemental tryouts?? Why are outside players invited to a clubs training session mid season??
There's no loyalty in this game called "Youth Soccer". A parent has to look out for their childs best interest, not the Club or Coach or Team
