If the report leaks out someone is going to jail. There is a bipartisan agreement on how background info is maintained. It is in a SCIF. They are not allowed to bring in phones or take any notes out. Anything leaked would be by memory.

I can’t get twitter to load. What is the implication?

Durbin said Grassley and the majority lied in repeatedly saying no hint of a sex assault history predated this set of hearings. He said it and he’s NOT Schumer or a grandstander. I believe Brett has a true history that afull investigation would have revealed. It’s tragic.

If I'm recalling correctly, it could be a lie about no history of alcohol abuse and/or a lie about no history of sexual assault.

+1 That's how I read it.

Unless Mark Judge said something completely unexpected, I doubt the report says much since the scope of the FBI's investigation seemed to be very limited based on all of the people saying they wanted to provide information but were ignored.

The FBI interviewed Ramierez. By definition, she claimed sexual misconduct. So it would be a lie to suggest that the FBI investigation had no such claims. Where the report will fail is that the FBI did not interview the 20 or so people Ramierez specifically said could corroburate her claims. That is because the White House refused the FBI to be thorough.

Everything Trump touches dies.

You people are ridiculous. The republicans have been stacking the courts for years while the Dems slept.

The Dems slept? The GOP sat on hundreds of Obama appointments. That is why Reid invoked the nuclear option. It was impacting the judicial branch. McConnel then weaponized it.

GFY.

You know nothing. So GFY! The republicans have been doing this for 40 years. Where is the Dems version of the federalist society? Oh that’s right you would not know anything about that because you do not remember anything before Obama. it’s nice that you think you understand politics but you do not.

Go read the latest New Yorker article and think about what it says. There IS no corroboration. Some reports say the FBI did contact others. All? Maybe not. But, enough.

More important, any sort of buffer between Mueller and Trump. Kavanaiugh will allow Trump to supercede the rule of law, the very foundation of our republic.

The letter from the law professors who believe Kavanaugh should not be confirmed now has more than 1,700 signatures.

Nope, not at all.

McConnell is a very shrewd politician. The Democrats have no one - literally NOT A PERSON in the Senate, who comes close to out maneuvering him.

Schumer is a dumbass.

So I’m trying to imagine how this goes if he’s confirmed, and there are dozens of potential witnesses who are pissed off that their voices were silenced and who can easily corroborate the Ramirez story and the allegations of heavy drinking. Do these people relentlessly give interviews reminding everyone about the underlying allegations? I don’t see this story going quiet after confirmation.

McConnell can be that shrewd because he has no integrity or moral compass. I won’t blame my party for having those things, even if it means they can’t be as effective as McConnell.

How many law professors are there in the US? Like 2300 or so? This is pretty significant.

OR maybe the FBI did not find her story credible. After they did initial interviews they were allowed to interview other people. There has not been one person who corroborated Ramirez's story. The story about him exposing himself to her. They were investigating the two alleged sexual assaults. They were not investigating his yearbook or drinking in HS and College. The Dems asked for an investigation into the sexual assault allegation and that is what they got. Because it was obvious there was nothing there they want to move the goal posts to his drinking and lying about his yearbook. If the Senators are concerned with his drinking and what he put in his yearbook they can vote no. They don't need an FBI investigation to vote no. Vote and move on.

The FBI report must be pretty strong in favor of Kavanaugh.

I say this because we are no longer hearing a peep from Democrats about making all or part of it public.
