Moore probably not making up 7 goals. when Oakton’s defense is playing that well. Up 5-0 at half. If Oakton is playing defense like that they are going to be tough to get them out unless you can score like Madison |

Regional Semifinals set for 6C:
Alexandria City (beat Hayfield) vs WP (beat Soco) Robinson (beat LB) vs Woodson (beat Edison) Patriot district semifinals rematches in the 6C regional tournament. WP v Robo rematch imminent? |

Moore and Mullen play lights out together when they are both on the field. Oakton would not have had the number of scoring opportunities that they did and McLean definitely would have put up higher numbers on offense. They may not have won because Oakton is good but it would have been a much closer game. |

Part of success this time of year is staying healthy. If you want to play the if game then if #4 is put on the field for McLean then you have to give Oakton their injured midfielder back as well who was their #2 scoring Mid when he went down with a shoulder injury. Since his injury Oakton has found a way to go 8-1 with their only loss being to Madison averaging nearly 12 a game. And that is with 3 Freshmen starting who played most of the year on JV. I am certainly biased but Basically what I’m saying is ….“If “ifs” and “buts” were candy and nuts……” |

Yes. Kind of a boring semifinal. WP just beat AC 14-2 and Robinson just beat Woodson 14-4. Region C is very weak this year outside of two teams. |

Region D semifinal on the other hand will be electric.
Oakton vs Yorktown - Oakton won the first matchup 10-9. Both team playing much better than they were then. Could be anyone’s game. Maybe a slight edge to the Patriots but they better play better than they did last night. Langley vs Madison - Haven’t met since a preseason scrimmage. Finished the regular season as the DCUM and MadLax #1 and #2 public teams. Madison has knocked Langley out of regionals two of the last three years. Edge to Madison as they seem to win bigger games. |

Looks like a Saxon - Warhawk Doubleheader in Vienna on Tuesday with both girls and boys squaring off in what should be two great games. Someone better tell the Vienna Inn that the Saxons are coming to pillage their town so lock the doors. |

| I can’t wait to see Madison dominate Langley on Tuesday. Langley is the terrible team who gets overrated every year and they’re finally going to be put in their place. I don’t know how they escaped Chantilly. They’re miles ahead too. Langley must’ve gotten lucky. |
