Scream online radicalization

Just like it used to be Eminem’s fault. No. Stop looking for excuses. Guns flow too freely around the US. Too many people want them in their lives. This kid is a direct product of the American Gun culture.

Whatever you think of Charlie Kirk, he was a real person. He had a wife, kids, parents who mourn him. He will never see his kids grow up. The GOP is using his death to score political points and to spur their agenda of hatred and, yes, violence against the opposing side. Vile is too kind a word.

It is disgusting that with no suspect yet in custody and no actual motive known yesterday and in the aftermath, the POTUS made threats of retribution against a huge group of people. The POTUS threatened violence and has before, but he has the audacity to say it is the left that is to blame for the current climate. The POTUS is meant to be a steady hand and calming influence in times like these, and instead we have a lying, irresponsible, morally bankrupt matchstick at the helm.

The GOP leaders saying this is ALL the fault of "the left" are irresponsible. They reveal and project their OWN inner hatred and desire for violence on to the fellow lawmakers who are condemning the violence. Vile.

The hypocrisy and the depths to which GOP leadership will stoop is staggering.

Reacting in a human way to a horrific tragedy is not "using his death." You're an absolute ghoul to demand thaf no one have a reaction to this.

They are not reacting in a human way, focusing on the man and providing solace for his family. They are making threats to a huge group of Americans who had nothing to do with this who just so happen to be their political foes. They are doing the exact thing they always do, project their pathology onto their political foes, but in this case, it could cause more violence and death. They are the ghouls. They are using his death for grandstanding and political advantage. Wake up. Or get help if you think this is normal.

I vowed not to come back to this thread, but I just wanted to say as a Dem I’m so impressed with the Utah governor. He said this is watershed moment, but how remains to be seen though he hopes it’s used as an off ramp. He called out everyone, including naming GOP and MAGA to be civil and stop political violence.

He talked about Dems and Republicans coming together in Utah last night to talk about moving forward and even mentioned the toll watching violence on social media affects us.

Bravo! I see the tiniest light of hope thanks to this Republican. May he inspire people.

Anonymous wrote:For those questioning all the media coverage, it’s the first time an American has been publicly assassinated in the US for their political beliefs SINCE 1968. It’s a big deal.

Uh you’re forgetting the two legislators in MN.

That was not a public assassination. It took place in a private home.

What difference does THAT make?

Public assassinations tend to have a greater impact than private ones.

Public assassinations occur in front of witnesses or are captured by media, which amplifies the shock. The public setting turns the act into a spectacle, symbolizing a direct attack on shared values or leadership, which resonates widely and instantly. Private killings lack this immediate, communal exposure.

A public killing violates the sense of safety in shared spaces, making it feel like an attack on the public itself. Private assassinations feel more isolated, limiting the visceral sense of collective threat.

Hence the media coverage and why many are feeling this event deeply. It’s the first political assassination the public has witnessed in the US since 1968.

Correct. It’s terrorism as well

Why is it terrorism? One dude (Kirk), with a questionable reputation, was shot. He happened to have a political following, be wonder bread white, and was a YouTube influencer. Shooter is yet to be identified but appears to be another white American man of roughly the same age bracket. He used a gun, which Kirk politicized as a 2A right even if it might innocents get killed. And you say Kirk’s killing is terrorism. We fly flags at half mast and the body flies in AF2.

George Floyd is black. He also has a questionable reputation, but he was minding his on business. He was suspected of being high but quite happy. White cops detain him, and put him a chokehold (unprovoked) until he dies. People are outraged, get angry, and protest. MAGA (and probably PP) lose their mind, but they don’t view this killing as terrorism. Actually, the protestors are terrorists.

See any irony in all of that?

Floyd was not minding any business out in public, high on multiple drugs, driving high, fighting and running from police (store called that in), and not paying for items at the store.

Then BLM hoax was formed, burned down Kenosha, blm bought a mansion with the donations, harassed cities and restaurants for months after Covid, then went bankrupt.

Of course assassinating the keynote political speaker in public at a crowded event is terrorism and created immediate and widespread terror.

The police weren’t even called until after Floyd left the store. Floyd was sitting in a parked car when police arrived.

It also must be said that pointing out that hard left Jewish organizations and donors have funded anti-American causes is a statement of fact. It is not anti-Semitic at all. Most religious Jews are horrified at this reality.

Now THAT's sad. Why would he throw away his life for this...

Great question.

Perceived fame, glory, manliness, power, fandom, self-righteousness.

Genuine lack of values, community, morals, ethics.

Probably confided in no one anything about feelings or emotions or good/bad/ugly. Jsut superficial convos.
