Thanks, I removed it. Persistent buggers aren't they?

Little do they know that I'm trying to avoid some drafting today:

Thanks again. Interesting that yesterday the spam posts were all being posted from DLA Piper (an International law firm with DC offices). Wonder if the law business has gotten so bad that lawyers are taking up cleaning? That seems unlikely, but its a strange place from which to be spamming DCUM.
|
Maybe the firm is avenging its candidate's loss: "DLA Piper employees have bundled over $470,000 to Mrs. Clinton's campaign, making DLA Piper Clinton's leading contributor as of February 28, 2008."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DLA_Piper_Rudnick_Gray_Cary I have GOT to get back to work. |

You should take a look at Reggio-Emilia based daycares/preks. My son was in a Reggio program at World Bank, but it only goes to age 6 so we had to leave in Sept. We are in Oyster bilingual which is great for a public school but we sure miss the Reggio program. I think one of the teachers left to start Chevy Chase Reggio (probably same name plus .com). I've heard there is a Reggio school on Capital hill and a jewish school using it. All my friends love Montessori but for my kid his curiousity wouldn't work so well at Montessori.
http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/30796.page You might check out a new Reggio-Emilia based preschool in Chevy Chase. I think website is ChevyChaseReggio.com. We had our daughter at the Reggio school at The World Bank and one of the teachers left to start this. We love Reggio Emilia, but this is only for kids under 6. http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/15/28918.page I hear it uses the Reggio-Emilia method which is really great. There is another Reggio program in Chevy Chase, just heard about it, called Chevy Shase Reggio (www.chevychasereggio.com i think) but this is non religious so be sure that's what you want. My sister lives in Coloroado (Boulder!!) and just loves this program. My little one is only 7 months so we have a LOOOng way to go. http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/28643.page You might check out a new Reggio-Emilia based preschool in Chevy Chase, called I think websie is ChevyChaseReggio.com. Don't know if they have anything for 1,2 year olds. http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/31142.page You should check out Chevy Chase Reggio (chebychasereggio.com). This is a new toddler/pre k program based on Reggio Emilia right on Connecticut Avenue and Bradley. Reggio Emilia is like Montessori (both from Italy) but it specializes in kids under 6. There is an open house on November 15. Phone is 301-951-1885. http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/31233.page You might check out a new Reggio-Emilia based preschool in Chevy Chase. They use Reggio-Emilia which is so great for kids 2,3,4 years old. My kids all went to Montessori but my next door neighbor was in a Reggio program at The World Bank and loved it. We live in Bethesda and this location would have been perfect for us. http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/31130.page |
Wow, that's a good bit of research. Thanks for finding all of those. That said, I'm not immediately sure there is a problem with those posts. I don't know anything about the school, and don't have time at the moment to research, but would you consider this a commercial venture or something that is simply irritating?
|
If they are all posted by the same person, I'd say it's commercial sock puppeting. The messages sound suspiciously alike but variously claim that the poster had a daughter at the World Bank, had a son at the World Bank, only has a baby, sends a child to Oyster, lives in Bethesda, etc. If they were posted by different people, I guess it's just annoying boostering. |
Turns out, you were right. All of those posts, plus a couple more you didn't spot, were all sock puppeted. Good work on your part. As best I can tell, that school is not even open yet. I imagine the "teacher at the World Bank who left to start this" is, in fact, the poster. I've removed the posts. Please let me know if you see more. Thanks for the sharp eye. |
