Why is Blake Lively so overrated?

Can it be done quietly at this point? But agree, I’ve only read first third and I think Blake is cooked. Justin should get a big pay out

On another note, I feel really badly for both him and No More. What a wasted opportunity this movie turned out to be.

Nope! Not with this much evidence already out. Both sides will want to push through to at least the pre trial stuff to get all of their evidence out. If Blake settled quietly then people will assume she lied. I am sure Justin has similar thought

Given that he has either recorded evidence and/or notes on his side, I’m not sure about that. There are at least half a dozen people who could testify she wasn’t nude from the waist down in the birthing scene alone as she implied (I knew when she referred to “general practice” with simulated nudity rather than what she actually wore or didn’t wear, something was off)

Which is exactly why she's not going to settle until she gets all her evidence out. They can't quietly settle and hope it all passes by. It won't because she lied. Maybe things would've been differently if some of the exhibits were sealed but they aren't.

I wonder if at any point the public will see raw footage from the set that just shows some of these disputed incidents. Probably not, but I'd LOVE to see the raw footage of the scene where they are dancing, for instance, because the different accounts are insanely far apart in terms of what happened. In Lively's version, Baldoni was being disgusting and inappropriate and flirting with her in a really gross way while she remained professional. In his version, Lively was being unbelievably difficult, refusing to take any direction (from the director) and making it impossible to film the scene as written. If we could just see it, we'd know who was lying. Because one of them is.

I will say based on level of detail, Baldoni's account seems more likely to be accurate. Because his account describes far more about what was going on, conversations with producers on set, explains how the scene was shot, and includes quotes from BOTH Baldoni and Lively in terms of what was said. Whereas Lively's version is more general and just references a few things that Baldoni did or said but doesn't really say what Lively was doing. It is just implied that she was behaving professionally while he crossed lines but provides no further detail.

Unless I am misremembering, he says their mikes caught everything that happened during filming that scene.

PP here and yes, he says the whole thing is recorded including audio and many of the conversations they had before and after takes. That's why it would be nice to see it -- their accounts are so different.

But if the footage shows one of them is flat out lying, we probably never will -- they'll fight it too hard because it would look too bad. Maybe it will leak though.

Which is why the party that us lying can’t let this go to trial, or even summary judgment.

He definitely paints her as an absolute conniving nightmare. And certainly she's done things, even publicly, that make me think it's possible she is. I am not a big Lively fan at all but I will admit I was fairly persuaded by her complaint, especially the stuff about him pressuring her to do nude and intimate scenes that weren't scripted, and what was portrayed as toxic behavior towards her off screen, commenting on her body and bringing up sex and porn all the time. But his complaint provides pretty extensive explanations and contextualizations of like each and every incident in a way that makes it hard to believe she simply had a different experience. It makes it look like she lied.

So I straight up don't know what to think. Right no my mind is saying his complaint is more accurate but that could also be recency bias. I don't know! The whole thing is an insane cluster. I'm glad I don't work in this industry. Yuck.

Clients sometimes lie to lawyers or have very self-serving distorted view points that the lawyer only sees later on. That’s why the tactic of filing the complaint first before any private negotiation was pretty bold. Also it’s possible that some of the allegations are colorable but the rest are not. Still doesn’t make her look great.

Sure, I get everyone has a different point of view. I assumed her version was distorted to some degree just because everyone has a perspective.

But his complaint makes it sound like she maliciously *lied*. Like that she intentionally made it seem like she was nude in scenes where she wasn't, and just taking incidents way out of context in a way that isn't just "another perspective" but an intentional effort to cherry pick certain actions or comments, take them out of context, and portray them as abusive.

It's just impossible to reconcile these two complaints. Someone is just lying.

Yes. If the footage shows Baldoni's version to be correct, most of Lively's claims would be struck on SJ very easily. Maybe some stuff gets through but probably not the biggest allegations are shown to be flat out fabrications.

And why would Baldoni's complaint repeatedly reference that these incidents are on tape if they wouldn't help in? So they must be. But then surely Lively knew that from the jump? It's a movie set. I guess that's where Baldoni's allegation that she never intended to file her complaint comes in. He is saying her complaint was meant to be a publicity smear and not really a legal document. Which would be WILD.

I actually wonder if the lawyers could be in trouble with the bar for something like that. Probably not -- they can just say their client lied to them. But if there were actual evidence they put together a knowingling false complaint in an effort to destroy their opponent in the press... seems super shady.

Maybe. It could also be that she truly felt she was being harassed and asked for the dailies because she felt violated and wanted more control over the footage that was being shot in these scenes where she felt she was being pressured into nudity or intimacy. Baldoni presents it as her just being demanding and wanting creative control, but if there is any merit to her harassment/toxic workplace allegations, her asking for the dailies would actually make sense within that, as her trying to gain more control over a situation where she felt she was being mistreated.

The he said/she said on the harassment allegations is wild to me. Just two completely different versions that cannot be married.

I wonder if her constant requests for dailies was at her lawyer's request? Maybe they were writing up the sexual harassment complaint, and the lawyer was asking for proof of what she was saying.

Still, nobody who was actually there, that isn't part of his lawsuit, is on his side. Why would people back her if she was blatantly lying?

Because of her "dragons" aka Ryan and Taylor Swift

Reynolds def has more power in Hollywood and one take mentioned in cross complaint is Blake wanted to get rights to sequel to do on her own and had promised cast/crew roles.

Can it be done quietly at this point? But agree, I’ve only read first third and I think Blake is cooked. Justin should get a big pay out

On another note, I feel really badly for both him and No More. What a wasted opportunity this movie turned out to be.

I would not touch this crap with a ten foot pole unless someone sent me a subpoena. Not surprised at all. I'd be willing to bet that alot of people are silently supporting him in fear of being cancelled if they speak out.

I'm sure that they understand that supporting a lawsuit isn't the same as liking a social media post. Her suit mentions others. They aren't going to lie under oath for her.

They could easily say nothing.

He alleges that she promised roles in the sequel subject to supporting her. Most of them probably have no direct knowledge if the scenes that form the basis of her complaint anyway.

And yet she is awfully vague about who those others are. I called that out pages ago.
