Am I too fat for this?

I've seen so much bashing of skinny jeans lately, and being a size 14, I'm starting to get a tad paranoid that you're talking about me.

Do I have the body type that so many of you think shouldn't be caught dead in anything besides bootcut and trouser jeans?

Feel free to thread-hijack and post pics of yourself if there's an outfit you'd like some honest feedback on. Just upload an anonymous picture of yourself to TinyPic or another hosting site not linked to your name, and let us give input!

I am a size 10 and I wear skinny jeans all the time and you look thinner than me.

P.S. I don't know why but I get so excited when people post their real-life pictures on this forum and I don't know why. House, couch, whatever, it's such a little thrill.

You look great. The shirt isn't skin tight and your boots are cute.

As my DD9 said today, "Totes adorbs, obvi!"

(Translation: totally adorable, obviously)

I think I might wear a slightly longer shirt if I was you. Ditch the silver scarf.

And black boots to elongate your legs - the size 2 college girls look best in black legging and brown boots. But good for you - you're very brave.

OP here. Thanks for the positive feedback! I have a decidedly average body, and at 185 pounds I'm probably on the larger side of DCUM posters. So I was just wondering whether those of you anti-skinny-jean folks are just unnecessarily tough on yourselves or if you thought I shouldn't be wearing them either!

Aww, yay, I agree! That's why I'd love for others to join in.

I agree, actually. I'm the OP of the thread about tucking shirts in, and I usually stick with tunic-length tops. But I couldn't resist hopping on the chambray bandwagon.

+1. You look great. But you don't look anywhere close to 185.

Ha, 188 honestly, but I'm 5'10".

You look fabulous, and not fat at all!

Yeah, there's something we're missing. The BMI for 5'10" and 188 lbs is 27, which is definitely in the overweight range. What is your weight first thing in the morning, naked?
