Trump's DEI comments and blaming the ATC for apparently being intellectually or psychiatrically disabled and causing the crash are so unprofessional and unsupported that it is hard to understand.
I understand people voting in different ways, having different viewpoints, and prioritizing different things but I don't understand anyone supporting or accepting the outlandish things he says. This was a tragic event and instead of caring about the people involved, he saw it as an opportunity to level unfounded and defamatory accusations and blame at individuals he didn't even know. Can the ATC or the FAA respond to this either through legal channels or other means? What are the options to support this ATC who has been treated so terribly on a national stage? |
People cooled down because it appeared to be a middle class white woman and the fish they were hoping to catch was a transwoman given the anti-trans political shift. I totally disagree that hailing how wonderful someone who piloted a helicopter into 64 civilians on a plane was a stroke of PR genius. A stroke of trying the old tricks that had been proven to have failed miserably and for good couple months ago more likely. Just say nothing, yes there's a gullible public, and you can spin a lot, but not someone who piloted a helicopter into 64 civilians into a hero. Any commendation of her just will make people hate her more. |
+1 |
Why would anyone hate her? There is no indication that this was intentional. |
Because their wife and only child died because of either her deliberate act or gross incompetence? |
Up is controlled by the collective in the left hand. |
The entity guilty of a gross and deliberate act is the FAA which ignored the numerous previous incidents because no one died yet. |
+1. And the military who also knew about the previous incidents. |
It goes without saying US regulators of private industry are inadequate - the model has been complete corporate capture with for profit motive to nearly the point of collapse - eg. FAA & Boeing's degenerated and abominable consumation. The person who appeared to fly a helicopter straight towards and in the last moments turn the helicopter left and into the commercial jet might also deserve a postive and respectful talking to, 'Good job Karen, you're just as good as your mommy, papa, pastor, school teacher, guidance counselor and sports coach said you were, but no more driving straight at commercial airlines for 30 seconds and then turning into them during the last seconds'...oh wait, that will be hard to do now. |
There is no indication of either of those. Why are you jumping to conclusions without any evidence? |
We don't know who in the helo was responsible, but we do know they acted recklessly. |
|
We don't know anything until the investigation is over. |
We know they ignored the commands from ATC. |
Accuracy would be nice, PP. Her name was released one day later. |
