Hahaha. Trump had a 90 minute speech at the RNC and gave no more information that Harris did. He made a lot of promises just like he did in his 2020 campaign. Promises he didn't keep in office. He made a lot of promises in his four years in office and most of the time it was "we will have details in 2 weeks". Apparently he left office 13 days after he made those promises because he never implemented or gave details about those plans.

The Harris campaign is a continuation of the Biden administration in that they will make promises and they will deliver something other than promises that will come out 2 weeks from never.

Let's just keep voting for GOP and Dem candidates and donating our hard earned money to their campaigns and eventually they'll reciprocate by paying less attention to their mega donors and more attention to Americans that need help the most. This is how it is supposed to work, correct? Lord have mercy on the ignorant American people.

You aren’t going to make Fetch happen buddy. But keep trying, it’s amusing.

Exactly. Can't fix stupid. The American people are hopeless.

And has chauffeurs instead of a drivers license. Agree she is light on policy. But she can be, because Trump can’t string together a coherent thought. So, she can debate by letting him ramble, then looking at the camera, shrugging and going: I can’t respond because I have no idea what he was trying to say. It’s just weird. And most of America will agree. And it’s in her best interest to be. And honestly, she is pro-choice and anti-insurrection. For many of us, the rest of the policies aren’t going to change our vote.

+1

We won’t forget the attacks against a peaceful transfer of power and our own bodies.

Citizens United gave the power to big donors.

Thanks, Republicans.

We have nothing to thank our major political parties for. The American people that identify as Republicans and Democrats aren't our problem. It's the actual parties, their leaders, and their greed for money and power that is why we currently have so much political dysfunction in this country.

She lived in a multicultural red-lined neighborhood. Her single mom, her, and her sister lived in an apartment above a daycare. She was bused to school. Her neighbors were firefighters. The village that helped raise her was blue collar. Even if her parents were professionals she didn't grow up in a white collar environmental.

Also, do you really think her minority parents were paid equal pay to other researchers and professors? Her speech didn't say blue collar, she said middle class.

From 12-17 she lived in Montreal while her mother was a professor at McGill. Crickets about that in her speech because it doesn’t fit the narrative.

Including that would not have taken away from her speech. Sad that her mother had to leave America for a better lifestyle.

Tweens don't get to pick where they live. What is important is that when she could decide for herself, she returned to America to attend Howard University (HBCU) and selected a career of service.

And by the way, where was her father on the biggest night of her life? Oh that's right. They hate each other.

So you're unqualified to be president if you're estranged from a parent? What a ridiculous comment.

+1 her father wasn't around and she adored her mother. Not exactly unusual. Also evidently he's cold, critical, and humorless.

+1 What policies are going to matter here? She's going to be a center left Dem, who does some stuff I don't love and plenty of stuff I either like or am fine with. And whatever she does, she is not going to try to overthrow the government, be pointlessly cruel to the vulnerable, or turn women into chattel. I'm in!

That's an assumption, but as someone who posts on DCUM , you should know that family relationship are complicated. Plenty of people can relate to a strained relationship with a parent.

And by the way, I want to tell you a secret...Mrs. Trump can't stand her husband.

How do you know? At least she was there every night of the convention.

I have a "complicated" relationship with my parents, too, but I can assure you that if I was giving an acceptance speech for a presidential party nomination, my parents would be there.

He is almost 90. We don't know his health status or if he even could come. You should run for office so your parents can show up. That would be a great start to making things uncomplicated.

Just stop.

It’s all they have. She hit it out of the park last night. The democrats did something amazing in their convention- defined their politics as the rightful politics of the United States. The trolls attacks therefore look even weaker and smaller than usual. 2.5 months is an eternity in politics. She could stumble and the race could change again. Nothing is in the bag. But right now? They have nothing. And they know it.

No. Objectively, she did not "hit it out of the park." She did not appear to be drunk and she managed through a short speech, after saying thank you 25+ times, which is an accomplishment for her, I guess.

Game on. I'm for Trump and like our position at this point.

Is anyone actually dumb enough to think Trump or Harris is going to do anything to make their lives better? Silly people.

The problem is, Kamala would (and is) making our lives worse.

True but she isn't as embarrassing and obnoxious as Trump.

THAT'S your reason for supporting Harris? Hate to say, but that kind of says it all about you, PP.

Grow up. Not everyone you encounter will be a "kind" person to you. You fully admit that Kamala was/ is making your life worse, but you would even think of supporting her because Trump is "embarrassing."

Have you ever had a real problem in your entire life?

Harris is a decent person and perhaps her father is too. Her father probably loves her and misses his baby but he is likely disappointed in the fact that his daughter is now a bought and paid for puppet of one of our two awful major political parties.

You support a man who tried to overthrow our government? You're a bad person.

You might want to rethink that talking point, given that your candidate literally overthrew a sitting president.

This is dumb. You are dumb.

No, not really. This PP is correct. Sorry it doesn't fit your narrative, but Nancy, Chuck, Kamala and Barack took out poor Joe. Kamala never won a primary; in fact, she has a grand total of 0 votes from Democrats in her own party.

Explain to us all how her being in this position now was not a coup. (And the childish namecalling is not helping your case.)
