Yes, Ford should be a bit concerned since her dear friend could not corroborate her story.

Friend already said she believed her.

His emails are overly doctrinal and make him come off as a jerk. Judges need empathy and nuance in order to apply facts to law and come out with equitable outcomes. He is more of a political hack than a judge. Plus he flat out lied during parts of his testimony (I'm talking about the drinking, the sex terms- no one can say with a straight face that he was telling the truth about those things). Automatic disqualification.

Only for the sentencing part in a criminal investigation, do emotions come into play. During a SC decision, one is not supposed to take into consideration that they are a 'strong Latina woman', etc. Justice is supposed to be blind and SC decisions are made based on Constitutional law. That is why there was so much flak when Roberts changed Obama's words and said "he didn't really mean tax, he meant penalty' when ruling on Obamacare.

The reason Democrats are so freaked out about a second SC appointment, and why Schumer said he would fight it from the start, is because the only way Dems have been able to get anything passed lately is using the courts.

You have a very very poor understanding of the Supreme Court and judging. There are some cases that are purely based on the law, but they are almost all statutory. The constitutional cases are the open-ended ones that require using much more than "the law," and values of empathy and fairness absolutely play a huge role.

Civics education is sorely lacking. People who don't understand how the government is supposed to work don't understand when Democracy is being eroded, when the system of checks and balances are imploding before our very eyes.

This is pretty much what Justice Kennedy said a few days ago. He said democracy is in decline and said it needs ordinary citizens to protect it but that is hard because we have such poor civics education in our country

There is something fishy about his overt public displays of masculinity (both during the alleged incidents, and during the hearings). Actual rapists tend to operate in secret, and former classmates have already stated that he seemed to be performing more for his buddies than the women. He also got married at the age of 39, to a religious woman 10 years his junior.

Ding, ding, ding.

He was also into "Devil's Triangles," while seeming to not care at all about women. I wouldn't be surprised, frankly, if he was closeted.

Oh, good God, you libs have really dove off a cliff into the deep end! Just because he liked to get naked with other men andwas keenly interested in Bill Clinton's ejaculate does NOT mean he harbors homoerotic fantasies!

Her dear friend didn't want to be dragged into the public media circus. Neither would you. It takes courage to speak up.

Yeah, I'm sure Mark Judge really appreciated being called a dysfunctional alcoholic and addict by his "best friend" on national TV.

RI man apologizes for claiming Kavanaugh sexually assaulted woman on boat in Newport

A Rhode Island man who claimed U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted a woman aboard a boat in Rhode Island more than 30 years ago apologized Wednesday, saying he “made a mistake.”

A 45-page transcript from the Senate Judiciary Committee notes that a man called Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse's office Monday and said his "close acquaintance…was sexually assaulted by two heavily inebriated men she referred to at the time as Brett and Mark” during the summer of 1985.

If it were one accusation maybe, but 3 so far and possibly more so it makes it harder to deny that this guy was probably assaulted women in a bro-way that men acted in the 80s-90s, and even today (but not as much).

Judge wrote an entire book about his alcoholism.

Yet she wasn’t there and doesn’t know Kavanaugh. Go figure.

The man said that he and another unidentified man later "physically confronted the two men, leaving them with significant injuries,” according to the transcript.

He said he decided to contact Whitehouse's office because he “realized that one of the men was Brett Kavanaugh when he saw Kavanaugh’s high school year book photo on television” during the weekend.

While the man’s name was redacted from the transcript, reporters from Heavy.com later identified him as “Jeffrey Catalan” through social media posts.

“Everyone who is going crazy about what I had said I have recanted because I have made a mistake and apologize for such mistake,” a Twitter account using the name Jeffrey Catalan noted after the claim was made public Wednesday.

Her statement was under oath. If she is not telling the truth, she committed a felony.

Three unverified, non-credible accusations.
Accusations are not evidence. There has been no evidence that any of the crap thrown at him is true.

I am 100% sure that Feinstein leaked the letter from Ford. All of her aides, and she herself, had said they didn’t, but I was there and I am 100% sure she did. I have no proof, but she did it.

And, this case has been referred to federal law enforcement for prosecution of false claims. Good.
