I would assume that if someone thought Kavanaugh had committed provable perjury, they would follow up on it. He's a slimy, raping, drunken jerk, right? Don't they want him off the court, or better yet to have never been confirmed? But I guess it doesn't matter if you're in the minority party and you might have to exert yourself a little bit. I didn't know Leahy was so overwhelmed. That's a shame. |
So now you consider a NBC interview to be as thorough and resourceful as a FBI investigation? Please. |
All republicans are not sexual predators, but the GOP has gone whole hog on two and put them in the two of the highest positions.
GOP is now the party of sexual assault. Congrats! |
You know, if I happened to REPEATEDLY attend house parties where people were being raped - which I can't imagine doing, btw - I would never in a million years decide to report some of the guys who happened to be there and insinuate heavily that they *probably* participated in gang rapes, but I just couldn't be sure. What a terrible, terrible thing to do to anyone. Unless you're certain someone did something, you do not drag their name through the mud like that. She repeatedly says that she's not quite sure, but they were in the house, so... I was glad to see Kate Snow seemed to have her B.S. detector firmly in place. |
She's a hero and an independent thinker. Wish I lived in Maine so I could vote for her. |
Why wouldn't she file another report? If she did, perhaps the police could investigate and she could find out who raped her. And while she did retract her initial claims that he was a raping, drugging svengali, and it turned into him being just a guy at the party, that she brought it up now, and her initial claims, makes it seem like something someone would want to follow up on. If her allegations are true, even just her toned down ones, do you want Kavanaugh on the court? Why not file a police report in an attempt to make sure he faces justice instead of being one? |
But it hasn't gone unreported. She chose to enter the public arena with it. Why enter the public arena, but not file a police report? |
She wishes you did too. |
This is what the police should investigate. If only she would report it. After all, she said everyone in the county was aware of it! (Does this stuff remind anyone else of the McMartin Preschool case?) |
A bunch of people in Maine are very unhappy with her. |
???? how many times do we need to cover this? TIRESOME |
No. It does remind me of OJ though. |
A sworn affidavit does not have to be investigated by the FBI. If this truly happened, and Kavanaugh is truly the monster her affidavit made him out to be (and not the boy at parties she later described), then surely it would be worth her going to the police to file a report and follow up. The police have explicitly said they would investigate. But she's not interested in having the police investigate. That doesn't speak well of her. |
And a bunch of other people in Maine - and elsewhere - are thrilled with her. |
