What would you like someone in the minority party to do when this was made readily available and the majority party is acting like a band of fascists? What would you like him to do? Do you see all your fellow conservatives on here bleating on about Swetnick, when there’s proven perjury, right here? Why do you think the GOP might be looking away? Why does the GOP insist 9n pretending that any part of Brett’s nomination is normal or non-criminal? His “confirm Brett” web address was bought back in February 2017. Kennedy had hired his clerks, met with Trump, and then BOOF! he retires. There’s clear evidence of perjury (not to mention Republican crimes going back almost two decades), and no one sees anything. Brett had a PR campaign paid for by no one knows whom. He lost his ever-sniffing mind at the hearing. The GOP is a band of criminals. And I hope someone gets a sense of duty to their country and does something to fix it. |
Kids at parties might wear school swag, but it's unlikely they're wearing their sports uniforms. They wear their sports uniforms for sports, and they get gross, and the kids by high school age tend to at least pretend to care about grooming. A sports-branded jacket or sweat shirt? Maybe, but not a sports uniform. |
Has she gone to the police to follow up on this terrible crime? No. |
The police have said it will take them one month to find the report. The officer who took the report has since passed away. Why would shy file another report? She is not claiming specifically that he was one of the people who gang raped her, she does not remember who raped her because she was drugged that night. The FBI will not "decide that it is in their jurisdiction" - it would be up to Democrats to push for that and call an investigation. I am not sure they would do that on the sexual assault allegations though. I think, if it happens, it will be over the perjury of the stolen emails and documents. |
They'd rather go to talk to the FBI, which is under the EXECUTIVE BRANCH, than the police? Please. They aren't filing a police report because they don't want to dig in further than they have and actually get in trouble for a false report. |
I'm wondering whether YOU actually read her sworn statement. Here is the part specifically about the punch bowl: "During the years 1981-82, I became aware of efforts by Mark Judge, Brett Kavanaugh and others to "spike" the "punch" at house parties I attended with drugs and/or grain alcohol so as to cause girls to lose their inhibitions and their ability to say "No." But in her interview, when specifically questioned about these allegations, she walks it back to say, well, they were standing *near* the punch bowl. What a bunch of BS. |
The vast majority of sexual assaults go unreported. It doesn't make the crimes less terrible. It means people don't want to be victimized again (which is exactly what has happened to Dr. Ford, Ramirez and Swetnick). We had many, many posters on these kavanaugh threads who shared their stories of sexual assault and most of them had not reported them to the police. |
Became aware does not say saw. Became aware means that she saw things that made her put 2 and 2 together and realize what was going on. This is why the FBI should investigate and not yahoos with a computer who like to parse words. This is what that means in court testimony. She did not see it, but she saw other things that made her realize what was happening. |
+1 She walked a lot of things back in her interview. Surely she knows how ridiculous she sounds. |
Good for her! So she's supposed to just do nothing to help her own campaign, even as liberals raised money for her opponent if she voted no on the confirmation? Which she did - glad she didn't let the blackmailing liberals take control of her vote. What do you have to say about her opponent who accepted all those donations against Collins' no vote? Nothing? Surprise, surprise. |
Yeah, she never said it was an athletic uniform of any kind. She specifically said his "school uniform." But sure, believe her. She's so credible, and all. |
You are making ZERO SENSE. Swetnick already wrote a sworn statement. It would have to be actually investigated with a REAL INVESTIGATION by the FBI. If it is found that she lied, then she could be put in jail and lose her security clearance. Remember, she is ONE OF THE PEOPLE who asked for a real investigation by the FBI. Who resisted a real investigation by the FBI? KAvanaugh. |
Collins is scum. |
Which is *exactly* the treatment afforded to Kavanaugh. |
No, you dolt. I'm talking about the video interview, in which Kate Snow says that Swetnick provided the names of four "witnesses" to them (NBC), who supposedly could vouch for these parties. To repeat: one said he had no idea who she was. One is dead (kind of weird to provide the name of a dead person as your witness). And two never got back to them. THOSE are the witnesses I'm referring to. Get your facts straight. |
