For all the DCUMers who think Dynamite is an accurate representation of BTS

Do you mean Hentai? They’re a pop group that barely shows off more than collarbones. I think you’re reaching.

I think this is a relatively common opinion amongst the K-Pop community. Fans shouldn’t have put that expectation on them nor should they put it on themselves. It’s okay if non-kpop people liked Dynamite and isn’t going to listen to them anymore. No one can tell people what to listen to and what not to listen to. Just because they liked one of BTS’s songs doesn’t mean they should all now check them out. Western music just doesn’t work that way either. They plan to have a long tail on their platform.

Best lyric “We don't need to worry.....cause when we fall we know how to land.”

This one is not my favorite, just okay.

It’s catchy but overall kind of meh. Butter was better. I guess their English songs aren’t going to be the sort of unique stuff they were doing in Korean before Covid shut down all their promotions. I’d love, like, the English-language and 2021 equivalent of DNA.

I don’t like it and I’m low key ARMY.

Ed Sheeran just needs to stop.

It’s ok, I think they’re trying too hard to win a Grammy and I’d rather them focus on classic songs written by Yoongi, RM and Big Hit. I feel like their last few songs are lazy English language songs to make money and win audience. The music video for PTD is pretty dorky and basic, granted this is a B side track. The choreography isn’t as hard hitting as their old songs. I liked all the Seven album songs, Dynamite and Life Goes On though.

It’s ok but I wanted to see more of their dance moves.. this one seems too easy/ light in a lot of ways but maybe that’s what they’re after.

I was hoping for something a but tougher like that of their song and dance to Mic Drop.

I wonder if they or someone thinks Americans only want classic boy band pop songs and won’t understand or will think a Korean group doing a hip-hop sound would be weird or corny. Then again they performed Mic Drop on about every show ever and people loved it so who knows?

yea I definitely think their production team thinks the American market and non-American market need different things.
Oh well, I still have more of their signature music (which definitely includes Mic Drop) to fall back on!
