For all the DCUMers who think Dynamite is an accurate representation of BTS

At this point this discussion might belong in the thread about finances as it looks like HYBE is going to go public:

I don't care about BTS but I'm a little nervous about what this might do to Justin's brand and more specifically that he will just walk away from making music when his best is yet to come.

I’m don’t think your intention was bad but this comment is bugging me. Why would Bieber walk away from a merger? He will be worth even more:

“ As part of HYBE’s $1.05 billion deal to buy Ithaca Holdings, Braun is paying more than $40 million in equity to artists and staff members out of his stake. A total of 39 people will receive shares about $161 million , based on the current exchange rate, while Braun gets 462,380 shares ($86.2 million). Of his artists, the company filing states Grande and Bieber will each receive 53,557 shares, or almost $11 million apiece.”

A lot of people like BTS, not just teenage girls. The average age of the fandom is 20+, just like BTS members. Khalid was super into the concert he attended.

Jungkook went to see Ariana Grande’s show in LA and she took a selfie of them together and made it her phone wallpaper. US musicians want a worldwide audience. BTS already has that. Just look at the energy in the stadium, their stadium tours are always sold out quickly. Most musicians can’t fill a stadium.

I feel like you are trying to make there be an argument about BTS when there isn't one. We're just mostly boring moms so its not going to be the primary cup of tea here.

That isn't a judgement on them at all. My mom wasn't into the spice girls! Her mom wasn't into...70s music. And so on.

I listen to more Ariana Grande than BTS because I like singing along to songs and I don't know Korean. That is really about it. It's not taking anything away from BTS' success that a mom's forum in America isn't salivating over them.

Maybe not all, but I’m a DCUM mom that enjoys them.

Of course DCUM moms exist! But OP seems to want the DCUM collective to 'not ignore BTS'. While of course they will have some mom level fans I just don't see them being like, a highly followed topic here. And I don't mean that in a negative way towards them!

I am a DCUM that loves BTS. BTS fans are called ARMY and their fandom is one of the biggest in the world. It embarrasses my DC but oh well.

Check them out in Carpool Karaoke with James Corden who is also an admitted member of the ARMY

Why do they wear so much make up? Especially lipstick? Are members of the group transgender?

Because they want to? Who cares? I follow their music not their aesthetic. None of the above really changes their musical appeal to me.
