I think it is regional and cultural. Yeah, my husband does not want me to look like a pre-pubescent teenager. I was thin when we met and have been thin the majority of our marriage but lately have gained due to depression meds and covid WFM but he has never been more attracted to me.

I wouldn't say she looks like a "pre-pubescent teenager." Look at her boobs! They're massive. Yes, they're probably fake but I've heard that fake breasts have come a long way and it's hard to tell nowadays.
Massive?? What pic are you looking at? I think you Comme Ted on the wrong one.

Yep. DH once told me touching a woman shouldn’t fee like touching a man. DH is not attracted to really sculpted muscles on women.

That's such a weird thing to tell your wife. Like telling your husband you don't like 10-inch d****s. As if it had at any point been an option.

They don’t want to feel like they’re with a man.

They never had a chance with women with that extremely rare body type and by putting it down they make themselves and their wives feel better.

6 pack abs just are not attractive (even on men) ... give me a flat yoga belly any day.

I'm not doubting your preferences. I personally like strong fat guys. But if I were to reassure my strong, fat guy partner that I love his body by telling him how gross and unappealing I find men who look like Chris Hemsworth, that would be really weird, and it would not say "I am honest and secure about my preferences and options."[/quote

That’s not a very good comparison. Chris Hemsworth is legitimately attractive. Women with 6-pack abs are not. It’s not about envy towards these women. It looks and feels terrible to men. They like women to look and feel feminine. Nothing feminine about such low body fat.

You may think that, but nonetheless PP's husband's preference against women with that body type is about as relevant as my preference against men who look like Chris Hemsworth. No one was offering us that. If you are making your partner feel better by talking about how unattractive the body of someone you couldn't have gotten if you tried, regardless of whether it's "legitimately attractive" or not, you are trying way too hard at something.

+1 and well said. It also matters because musculature is a defining characteristic of masculinity. Therefore, whatever anyone's preferences towards their own idea of how masculine or feminine they want their partner, Chris Hemsworth is kind of the epitome of the sexual characteristics of his sex. A woman with an extremely hard body is the opposite- more leaning towards the masculine spectrum of body fat percentage. So, considering most people (again, not everyone, but most people) seem to be attracted to people who exhibit strong characteristics of their sex (i.e. very feminine women or very masculine men), obviously the masculine male will elicit more sexual attention than the masculine female. Just basic sexual dimorphism, tale as old as time.

Of course. Hence the motto about Crossfit making men hot and women unf*ckable.

I was about 15 pounds overweight when we met. Skinny when we got married. And now at a normal weight. Dh definitely prefers me at the normal weight or the 15 pounds over. He doesn't have to say anything, but can tell by his actions and looks.

Thin women look younger than bigger women. A longer neck, sculpted shoulders, slender arms and thighs and a small waist are hard to find nowadays. Curvy has become equal to fat. People are dying more due to obesity.

^Skinny women age WAY faster and look WAY older. Why do you think people pay lots of money for facial fat or filler injections?

Not true. Genetics plays a big role. Having a fat gut and being chubby with a wide load makes you look way older than someone whose at the lower to middle range of her ideal weight. Now, if you're talking about underweight then yes that can cause some with certain body types to look gaunt but others don't.

Also, don't kid yourself. Weight loss is a billion dollar industry. NOBODY wants to be on the fat end of curvy. Only people who age or have had fat loss want injections.

Wow. Said like someone who has never lived in Los Angeles or a city where people make money from beauty. Fillers are EVERYWHERE.

But keep your gaunt face and those crows feet. At least you'll be thin, so there's that.

I don't have any wrinkles/crows feet/or lines and I am thin. I'll keep my health and you can keep your heart stopping obesity.

I'm quite slim. But I keep an extra ten pounds or so so that I dont go into that "gaunt old lady aging prematurely" mode.

As Jane Fonda said, "When you get older, you have to choose between your ass and your face."

Everyone knows it, but you. So again... enjoy those lines and wrinkles.

Wow what a snarky bit@ch you are!

I highly doubt you are "quite thin" when you say you are an extra 10lbs over 😆

Why are fat chicks on here so mean?

LOL. I'm not a "fat chick", but it seems to me that the only thing you have going for you, in your mind, is being skinny, and that's why you're so enraged that that's not the look anymore.

Anyway, if you're having to rely on your weight that bad for attention, you probably have a DEEPLY busted/ugly face, so you dont have to worry about wrinkles anyway. Let those crow feet spread, baby! Enjoy!
