Testosterone. It seems a lot of the public really doesn’t understand what a gigantic difference that hormone makes. Transgender women will never be the same as women in terms of bone density, musculature, size of organs etc. no matter how much estrogen and progesterone they take because the changes testosterone makes are permanent. And transgender men who go on testosterone are very quickly and permanently changed in a way that detransitioning cannot cure.

I have been to several Central American countries and the average height of men there is no where near 5'1". At most it is around 5'5" to 5"7. It might be some men in some indigenous tribes are 5'1" but in this country it is really uncommon for adult men to be so short and weigh 100 pounds. It makes fitting in much, much harder. Look at Chaz Bono who is short at 5'5" but would easily blend in using a public men's restroom.

Surely you have better things to do than speculate about things that aren't your business. Right now, Elliot has provided information and presumably does not wish to satisfy your every possible curiosity.

Exactly. It isn't your business what anyone else's anatomy is. If the person is not your romantic partner, their anatomy is not your concern. Would you find it invasive if someone started asking specific questions about your anatomy or hormones you were taking? Hey Karen, are those nipples of yours inverted? I know you are getting up there in years, but your skin still looks so soft. Are you taking an estrogen supplement? Would you think that kind of question was an invasion of your privacy or inappropriate? I bet so. Yes, Elliot Page has announced publicly that he is trans. In part, being a public figure requires making some sort of announcement, as otherwise there would be confusion. That still doesn't mean that the world is entitled to know that sort of information.

I don’t know his wife’s sexual orientation but maybe it’s more fluid and she doesn’t care what the gender presentation is as long as Elliot is happy. But what is a straight spouse suppose to do in that situation? I understand being compassionate and loving towards the transgender spouse but I can’t imagine staying with my husband if he transitioned. I really hope society becomes more accepting of people so these situations are less likely to happen. It can be devastating for a spouse to deal with especially if there are kids involved.
