Man asked woman to leash her dog in a public park -- she called the police on him

It's interesting that you're focusing on what the man would've done in another situation. What about what the woman would've done if a white man or woman approached her. Do you think she still would've called the police?

I mean, she is vile, don’t get me wrong, the gentleman was so measured, but clearly she was unhinged.

UMM no. Her dog walker confirmed he walked the same dog for her TWO YEARS AGO.

Mental breakdown my butt. She deliberated decided to off-leash her dog in Central Park and when called on it - decided to both harass that person and get the police to do the same.

He was recording her and harassing her.

How was he harassing her? If she would have leashed her dog, as the rules state, there would have not been a situation. She was harassing him by threatening to call and then calling the police. She was clearly in the wrong here and cried wolf to the police.

A Non-Apology of a Racist person.

These bitches will not ever know why what they did was wrong. The hatred and evilness is given to them in their formula from the time they are born by their parents.

I think if a man of any race threatened to lure her dog away she would have reacted similarly. her reaction may have been more fearful due to race, though. I also think it’s a good point that he wouldn’t have done that to any man (of any race). it’s not one-dimensional here.

Do you realize you're just making up information?

The dog was OFF LEASH, due to the owner's deliberate, illegal actions. No dog was "lured away" whatsoever. The lady chose, of her own dominion, to let her dog roam off leash. She chose to not be responsible for her animal. Jesus, the lengths some people will go to, to excuse assholes.

BUt he did not approach this "delicate rose" of a White woman and her fluffy beloved dog, did he? Birdwatcher was social distancing and she was not.

You're kind of simple, aren't you?

BTW, people are using a term to describe this woman that has essentially become an epithet of its own, including the man's sister who posted the video.

You can say Karen. It isn’t a slur LMAO

Here on DCUM, it is. And Jeff does not approve of that use of the name. In this case, it is part of the title of many articles since the victim's sister used it when she posted the video. But, DCUM posters should not be using it.

It must be nice to only have to worry about people calling you a "Karen". And yes, I know that Jeff disapproves the use of this word...can we also get rid of "thug"?

I think he was giving treats to the dog to lure it out of the bushes where it was disrupting the birds.

no, he was using it as leverage to scare her into leashing her dog. it’s clear that he’s the one that started the escalation. her escalation may have been unjustified but it didn’t come out of nowhere.

the guy’s facebook post states unequivocally he’s trying to get the dog to come to him, and that she was afraid he would hurt her dog.

You are out of your damn mind. The person who escalated things, was the person doing the illegal action. Ie, the woman.

What makes you think he never asked a man to leash his dog? It sounds like a real problem in the Ramble. She should have apologized and leashed her dog. Period. I hope she gets fired and charged with filing a false report. Maybe deported back to Canada, since we supposedly value American lives over those of immigrants.

Well since we’re making wild ass guesses about what she would have done had a white man requested she leash her dog, I think she would have put him on a leash, as requested, and walked away. Which is what she should have done when a black man requested she obey the law.

I doubt he would have used treats to try to get a big man’s dog to come to him.

Keep thinking that (bolded statement). I guess that's what helps you go to sleep at night not having to worry about injustice.

My quick assessment of this woman is that she is nuts. She had an instagram page for her dog and she documented several injuries to her dog. I think she hurt him herself.

She does deserve to be publicly embarrased. Let's see what she did, I am sure I am missing some too:

1. She's a f*ing racist to say a black man was threatning her
2. pulling out the ol' woman vs. man dynamic (for everyone who says to always believe the 'victim').
3. choking the poor dog and having him off leash
4. making a false 911 call.
