BS. Soccer at STA does not cut until 10th grade. |

Things may have changed, but in my son's day, there was a BS Freshman soccer team, which is where all the kids who would have gotten cut from JV were relegated. For most boys, it proved to be their last year of playing on a soccer team. |

STA a few years ago was the dominant power in the IAC for soccer but everyone seems to forget the head soccer coach worked in admissions. It was no secret to what he was doing - perhaps 1 - 2 got in each year who might not have been able to be admitted in previous years.
Don't get me wrong. STA still has a strong soccer program but about 3 - 5 years ago, they were VERY GOOD for the DC area. |

Glad to hear that. Those feckless and pale dads who basically bullied the school into creating a freshman team for their non-talented kids who got cut from jv and really had no desire to play soccer but truly desired to partake in the choral and dramatic arts not that there is anything wrong with that was a low point in my time at sta. |
