He doesn’t want to. They try to cover things up as much as possible.

I attended the meeting and actually really appreciated that Dr. Brabrand showed. It is not easy in those situations but I admired his tone and was thankful that the superintendent validated our community’s difficult few months.

Brabrand has no problem attending meetings and expressing his disappointment in the misconduct of others. He avoids any meetings or visits where he might be asked about his own failures.

Just posting update--Gastav case going to trial on June 9th at 10AM; Bloom going to trial on June 1st at 9AM. That's the current track, may likely get postponed. Gastav has several felony charges against her; Bloom has a misdemeanor. Hope to god that means he won't be allowed back to Haycock. Hope the parents of the Freedom Hill children take him to civil court and fleece him!

Thanks for the update. I doubt the parents of the abused children have the time, energy or budget for private litigation. It is enormously expensive to raise children with special needs and they need additional trauma support now.

Unless the people from the current class action lawsuit helps them out.

It seems like this case is a perfect additional example of the issues being litigated in the class action.

Can people join the class after a case starts?

Does anyone have an update on the criminal prosecutions of Bloom and Gustav?

From what I understand Bloom's case has been pushed back to 2022.
He is still on unpaid leave but FCPS is still paying for his insurance and etc. From what I was told he is now living with his mistress/girlfriend Hallie something. Principle at another FCPS school.

No jail time for the teachers, and the felony was reduced to a misdemeanor:

Glad this saga can finally be over. The school is in a great place now with many new staff and leaders. Let’s put this to bed.

Except there's no indication whether or how the matter is being resolved with respect to the former Freedom Hill principal.
