Not what he said. If you can't understand what is happening, perhaps you should sit back and listen. Let the grown ups talk. |
No collusion, no coordination, and perhaps some obstruction of a political hatchet job. You're truly desperate. Why not accept the verdict of the 2016 election, and try better in 2020? |
Did you miss the Cohen and Manafort trials? The investigation did result in charges. Good Lord, so many stupid people. |
This isn't about not accepting the results of the 2016 election, you moron. We've had to live with the awful consequences of that election for more than two years. You should be disturbed by happened with Russian in that election no matter whether it rose to the level of conspiracy (it's conspiracy, BTW, not collusion, you idiots), and obstruction of justice is serious. Stop lying to yourself. |
So the Mueller report is yet another example of how career bureaucrats think they know better, that they are the last line of defense against someone they personally dislike. Instead of just sticking to doing the jobs that they were hired to do, they try to play games. Ironically, all their efforts backfire in the most spectacular fashion and all but ensures the reelection of Trump in 2020. Mueller's position on the matter is just about the worst outcome for Democrats. The "I'm not saying he committed or not committed a crime" result puts Democrats in the uncomfortable position of 1) being under immense pressure by their base to press forward with impeachment, while 2) majority of the nation is simply uninterested in pursuing this Russian investigation any further and would rather Congress move on to more meaningful things. If Democrats don't cater to their base, they may lose energy and turnout in 2020. If they do cater to their base, they will draw the ire of the rest of the nation and further contribute to Trump's popularity.
If Mueller came straight out and said that there was a crime but he cannot charge, then Democrats would at least have broader backing to proceed with impeachment. If Mueller said there was "insufficient evidence", then Democrats can have an easier time to convince their base to move on. Just as Comey's grand standing hurt the Democrats in 2016, so will Mueller's sense of "fairness" hurt Democrats in 2020. |
Is it? Surely it would be outlined int he report. The Democrats have had 41 days to see the unredacted reported minus grand jury information which is required by law to be redacted. Yet at this point not one has looked at it? Let's play a game... I'll take why haven't the Democrats looked at the unredacted Mueller report Alex... Sure...why haven't the Democrats looked at the report? What is there is not obstruction of Justice and the democrats know this but want to play politics instead of legislate? |
Very interesting analysis. Thank you |
Yes, there were charges, but not the grounds of obstruction of justice related to Trump's actions with regards to Mueller's investigation. No indictments resulted from "Volume II" related activities based on Mueller's report. I don't understand why people like you are so infatuated with the idea that other people are stupid when it is yourself that is uninformed. |
+1. It is quite amazing--or perhaps not?--than those who insult others are the most uninformed. |
No POC will vote for t-Rump in 2020. Same goes for women. |
Well said. |
Not with approval never crossing 43% since he took over. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/?ex_cid=rrpromo And certainly not when his approval has fallen in every single state since he took over. He is deeply negative in PA,WI,MI,IA,AZ and behind in NC,FL and up by slim margin in GA and TX. Can you imagine that the battle is gonna be fought in TX? https://morningconsult.com/tracking-trump/ |
Keep up the delusions. 2018 was just a storm. 2020 will be a hurricane. The Liar lost by 3 million votes but rescued by slavery era EC. Since then the dems have scored impressive wins in 2018. His approval is stuck in low 40s and no improvement in sight with 55% swearing they won't vote for conman. TX and GA are gonna be purple states in 2020. Enjoy the fun. |
I doubt he was much more popular before the election and still he won. Sometimes voters vote to the lesser of two evils, even if they don't fully "approve" either. |
Those who think Trump will win again in 2020 (a hex on your souls):
What do you make of the 2018 midterms? Do you think that they weren't quire as good for Democrats as the Democrats and regular analysis seems to think? Do you think that was an anomaly but the women who voted in Democrats in the midterms will come home to the Republican party in 2020 - and if so why? You don't need to say the word "borders" or "wall" or "ILLEGALS" because I will just assume that is part of your reasoning. I'd really just like to hear how you incorporate the 2018 blue wave into your analysis. |
