The story they have concocted - that she had a kidney procedure that’s typically outpatient - is inconsistent with her being unable to do her job for nearly a month, or even to be seen by more than one person outside the White House.

My point is: First Lady is a weird job. It’s archaic. But it is what it is. You come to the White House you gd do your job.
