RHNY Season 8

She'd made the decision (IMO, a good one) to not speak to Bethanny. The pressure they were putting on Sonja to do this though, holy crap.

I wish Sonja could have really HEARD everyone, when they were saying "It's best you weren't at Dorinda's overnight." I know the feeling of being left out and wishing to be included, but that sleepover was awful and Sonja didn't need that in her life.

Yes, I realize I'm saying "stay strong - don't listen to your friends" and "listen to your friends - they know what they're talking about" all in the same post.

I totally agree! Sonja was right not to say anything to B.

I'm the "ugh Bethanny is horrible" pp and I just don't get why everyone is trying to appease her. The thing I loved about RHONYC was that it was one of the last ones that hadn't deteriorated into people screaming over each over every episode. It was fun when Luann was the Countess and Sonja was wacky and Ramona was crazy eyes walking down a runway. Carole was the voice of reason but now she is Bethanny's little minion. I enjoyed Bethanny when everyone was crazy and she would have her one liners but now she is just a bitter, angry bully. Not a good look.

Bethany must be hurting from her public on-going divorce (why doesn't she just settle and pay the loser, moocher POS off already). Buts he's hurting. she's in a tough place. Wasn't it last season where she just would sneak off and just cry?

He's not a loser/moocher. Read "A Place of Yes." Bethenny herself talks about how she couldn't have done it without Jason.

For example, when she did "Skating with the Stars," he was doing all the child care. He schlepped the baby from NY to LA weekly so that Bethenny could do that show and still see her baby. Now, when she was on that show, she was on prime time network TV, reaching a new, non-Bravo audience and raising visibility for Skinnygirl. The brand grew bigger.

Saying Jason--the good, stable parent--is a moocher is like saying all SAH spouses are moochers.

He was doing all the childcare? That makes him father of the year?

No, it makes him worthy of some of her money.

SOME. not a lot. her empire was well underway when they got married. i just can't believe she didn't sign an iron-clad prenup.

She didn't sign a pre-nup because at that point her brand was NOT "well underway." She basically had the drink and a couple books about being skinny. She did not sell Skinnygirl to Jim Beam until she was married to Jason and at the time she gave him a lot of credit for helping her with that.

She DID sign a PRE NUP more importantly that giant mangina Jason signed it! He tried to scam her out of HER tribeca apartment by having his criminal mother Carol notarize documents moving the title of the apartment into a trust he created. This was proven in court and the trust was thrown out. His mother LIED and signed off as a Notary Public in NY state, when she is only a notary in PA, and it is against the oath that you take as a notary in PA to sign a document for yourself or family when they stand to profit financially. Jason is a dirtbag, he has gotten more than he deserves already.

You know, I've read these pages eviscerating Bethenny and I was like, I don't know, I really like her, have had a soft spot for her since season 1, and Luann kind of sucks. But what broke the camel's back for me was the way she left dorinda's so freaking rudely. The flashbacks reminded me of how unkind she was at Jules too. Whatever 'seeing red' occurred during these arguments doesn't explain that level of rudeness to a host.

Yeah, it seems like Bethenny's only contribution to the show is to show up, shit on somebody - anybody - and then slink away stuttering about stress.

And sorry, no sympathy at all for her divorce woes when she's pretty much admitted that she was using Jason to get herself some spinoff shows. She's like a wealthy and emotionally abusive ex-husband. I'm sure her departure was exactly like the fights she's been having this season, diarrhea of the mouth and than out the door while no one's looking.

I think they were solely pushing Sonja to talk to Bethanny because they wanted some sort of drama for the party. Without the incident happening, there was nothing really exciting happening at that party.

I think they know that she will be off the show if she doesn't make up with Bethenny and keeps getting cut out. I think they actually care about Sonja and know that she needs this show.

I used to be a Bethenny fan, but she is just too nasty. There is no real motivation or reason. She just hates "the way Luann lives her life".

Love Sonja. She is just the happy, sloppy party girl.

If I was a housewife, I would have built this point up because it's so, so true. B has been so rude and so nasty (tm Nee Nee) and it's awful. I honestly would have read her to hell for pulling the shit she did at Jules house. It's beyond the pale that someone can be so awful and get a pass without there being some sort of REAL fourth wall reason (ahem producer).

It drives me batty because I actually like NY the most but there is some fourth wall bullshit that is making the season incredibly miserable to watch.

I read that she has producer credits on the show and that is why everyone is tip-toeing around her because they are afraid to piss her off and risk film time. i don't know if it's true as I am to lazy to google it but it would make sense.

Ugh. That's the only thing that explains the way they're all kissing up to her. Andy Cohen is denying it, though.

The scenes of Bettheny and LuAnn arguing, in the Berkshires and afterward, were unwatchable for me.

I had to fast forward through them.

Watching Bettheny trash someone's reputation just for kicks is too much. And then how she and Carole giggled in bed about how they would never let someone call THEM a whore?!!

Wow.

And watching LuAnn hug them tightly before they left Dorindas house?

Gross. their hearts must be dead. (Or Luann must have bad karma!)

Both Carole and Bethenny were disgusting in that last episode and I actually felt for LuAnn. That's saying something. They reduced her to tears! And to laugh like they did and slink out was so juvenile.

The article pp linked above was good- I didn't realize it but it's true that no one has challenged B in the head shots! Something is UP.

Carole/Andy/Bethenny are all friends outside of the show. I am wondering if that has something to do with it.

Of course, they are. Carole is the most boring housewife to get past one season. Even that dumb storyline about her having a ghostwriter felt like a big "who cares?" I seriously doubt she'd be on the show if it weren't for her friendships with Bethenny and Andy.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I think I would rather watch Jill Zarin over B at this point.

I would LOVE it if Bethenny were off the show and Jill was back on.
