There's always this illusion that there are all of these fields that aren't getting used (Baron Cameron, for example) but getting permits for them/having them improved is not as black and white as some might think. |
| Maybe no one remembers that part of the reason for GFR merger was to get more access to fields for both clubs. |
| No one wants grass fields esp crappy county unlit grass fields. You can't run a club without lit fields. |
| is there a reason why the county has never put turf in on any of those baron cameron fields? so many useless unlit grass fields. its just such a waste. |
| They are posting more mumbo jumbo nonsense |
|
They left out "built on stealing GFR players and offering them deep discounts to leave"
lol |
More like offering life rafts to shipwreck survivors. |
| that analogy makes no sense. |
Once you survived ML’s shipwreck last spring, why would you row out to another ship steered by ML? |
| Desperate GFR staff are desperate 😂 |
Doubt GFR staff cares, maybe just parents of kids who don’t want to see their teams collapse. GFR will be just fine. |
| Seriously, don't they have like 5 teams per age group? GFR is huge. |
3-5 I think? My DC’s age had 5 at the youngest but I think only 3 at U16. As has been mentioned several times already; there’s a reason great falls and Reston merged. Neither had any success standing alone. The idea that a new club can “rise from the ashes” of GFR in an area that borders McLean also is very….ambitious to say the least |
Not staff and not worried. I haven’t heard anyone offer a substantive defense of ML’s brief time in leadership during his putsch attempt last spring and don’t know anyone who thinks he did a good job even if they weren’t wild about RS. Why would this be different? |
This thread is 20+ pages of claims of “not worried”. Bizarre. |
