What school has 50,000 undergrads? You sound incredibly ignorant. DP |
Absolutely relevant, you just can't bear to admit it. |
DP. And you are very much in the minority, especially at Michigan. |
Klassy. How typical. |
NP Ohio State ASU Texas A&M off the top of my head. |
It seems you didn’t read the comments which nearly all lamented how poorly attended all Stanford football games are these days. For some reason you have trouble accepting that in fact many formerly storied programs are seeing significant declines in attendance. Syracuse used to be a powerhouse and sell out games…but no longer. The empty seats for the Miami game is a head scratcher. This is no different than pro sports teams seeing big attendance declines when they stink. Students similarly have little interest in just watching their school team lose and then it’s hard to get them back. UCLA has the unfortunate situation where the stadium is such a pain to get to that most students don’t bother. |
None of this matters one bit to me. My kids don't attend any of the schools you mentioned; the school they do attend has enormous turnout for their home football games and everyone has a blast attending. |
UCF is over 50k |
the college bowl games last year were mostly empty seats |
Northern Illinois University? |
Nice try, but no. A well-known ACC school that (gasp!) also offers excellent academics. |
the ACC is such a prime example of this nonsense. it's about money. No other reason Cal and Pitt are in the same athletic league. SMU vs Syracuse? Who cares about these games? This is why attendance is down. |
NP. Why should they? Is there a rule against posting about a particular football school on a thread about football schools? |
huh? ASU is over 60k |
