Can we all agree to this? I mean, so much fun, so much variety, and more often than not plenty of smart kids and top academic opportunities?
Who wouldn't want to be a smart, good looking and outgoing Greek guy or girl at an SEC, Big Ten or ACC school? What a time and place to be young. |
Wild tunnel vision op, just enjoy what you like |
You're remembering pre-NIL college sports. It don't work like that anymore. It's like going to a Mets game at citifield--athletes don't live on campus or attend classes anymore. |
Come on the bullhorn babes at Columbia, Oberlin, Wellesley are having a blast. Not. |
If CBS or ESPN could have a split screen and show the kids at UGA, Bama, Auburn and on the other screen show the appearances of kids from the Ivies and Seven Sisters schools. Yikes |
I see in this limited version of utopia, that if you are not good-looking, your life is worthless. |
I agree with OP! Looks like so much fun. Husband and I went to very academic schools for college/grad school. I was at columbia for the 4 years they never won a football game. When we watch these big national football game experiences, my husband and I both agree that big football schools have their own kind upside and wish we had that opportunity when we were young! |
I had a great time at a NESCAC school that had a lame football team and coed “social houses” instead of frats/sororities. I wouldn’t have traded it for a Michigan/Acc/SEC experience at all. |
Well, I wouldn't say worthless. But definitely less fun. |
Not sure about "Big Greek," whatever that is, but the large state schools are indeed a great place to spend four years. There is something for everyone. |
Because that's all you know. |
Exactly. Just sayin' |
Yes, and anyone who disagrees is weird and should be relentlessly mocked. They're also probably unattractive which makes them inherently inferior. |
There aren’t too many Diane Sawyers walking thru the gates of Wellesley these days.
