I had kids who went to "top LACs" who would agree that the big state schools are more fun. Because they ARE. |
+100. I went to a NESCAC school with a pretty good football team. The tailgates/homecoming were fun. More enjoyable to me than sitting in a big stadium filled with thousands of strangers and not knowing anyone on the field. |
OP, I was thrilled to be smart, good looking and outgoing at a Big Ten school -- and not Greek.
Ditto DH, DS, DD at a variety of large state schools WITH great football -- with minuscule Greek life on campus. |
High school should end at high school. |
Not according to OP. |
“The only real college experience” 🙄 |
Yes, that's what I said. Real. Not nerdy and egg headed. |
Who hurt you? |
I went to a school with big time football and lots of nerdy eggheads. That’s real. |
Northwestern? Michigan? |
LOL. Very funny. Nobody! I'm just saying, why can't we all be honest? |
They’re not all getting a good education. |
You first. You can’t admit that different people value different things than you do and that there is no one “real” college experience. |
You can say that about any school. Just as you can also say that it is very possible to get a good education at EVERY big football school. Plus have lot of fun and be cute. |
I'm not talking about what people "value." Implicit in your question is that you can't get a good education at a big, fun school. Which is bullshit. |
