Waitlist movement

Michigan was 973 last year taken off waitlist, most I saw in last 5 years was 1248. Other years it was half that.

Are boarding schools and private schools (with full pay students) getting more calls?

I don't know if anyone knows the answer to that specific question, but it is common for schools to be need-aware for the waitlist. The college would not need to use a proxy to determine which waitlist applicants are full pay.

Not sure about boarding school.
Our non-DMV private has seen Brown, Northwestern, Duke, Stanford, Barnard, NYU, Penn, and Cornell just in the last 10 or so days. Hearing Michigan calls came yesterday?

I don't think Dartmouth will move this year. They admitted about 25 off the waitlist last year and offered 30 more acceptances this year.
Unless they get a unexpectedly low yield it's going to be a wash.

Nothing yet. Our school college counselor thinks they "may move a few spots, pretty soon."
