Om Shanthi. I pray for her soul. My heart hurts for her family and friends. I’m Indian American from a similar background. Her parents looked so shocked. I can only imagine how proud they were of their premed daughter. May they find peace.

Konanki is believed to have drowned after being overwhelmed by a large wave while swimming, but he was swimming with her, and the waves were so strong that only he got back safely, yet she wasnt reported missing until 4 pm.

Maybe the guy heard the music and got out of the water and acting that he don't know anything

If she indeed drown and wasn’t reported till 4 pm who knows where her body might be at this point. Again that beach is known for its high currents.

Sounds like a case of drunk kids swimming at night and struggling with the waves & currents.

Teach your kids to never swim in a body of water at night. Doubly true if there is alcohol involved. You won’t be found until after daybreak.

Keep in mind as well these people likely woke up a little late. Probably didn’t notice she was missing for awhile.

They're not suspects. She is an adult who did adult things alone. It's not cool that they did not stay together but that is not a crime.

If you are concerned getting swept up in an investigation and you are not a us citizen but live in the us, you may not want to get involved. It's wild that there are green card holders in the US doing all these things overseas and in the US.

Umm, this has nothing to do with your child. She has been missing since the 6th. I think the lesson here is to teach young adults to not get wasted and run around in the wee hours with strangers no matter what country you're in. This goes for young men and women. We have a serious problem in the US with binge drinking in college.

Yeah they were up all night and slept all day. Not at all shocking they weren't aware she was missing. And they may have thought she was with the guy in his room.
