Why did Kamala lose ?

Weed and cash for African American men.

All of these messages are demeaning and insulting.

This. The smugness and patronization from the left is infuriating.

This alienated real women (trans women are not biologically women) and caused them to vote R or not at all.

See pastor Gino Jennings for the definition of a woman.

Agreed.

And it wasn’t necessary to adopt such rigid messaging on a fringe topic.

Heck, people forget that Obama didn’t embrace gay marriage.

Dems should have said we respect everyone—men and women, including trans men and trans women. No need to eliminate the word trans from generic labels. It’s not a bad word.

The amount of attention Democrats at all levels focus on transsexuals is certainly one factor contributing to the blow-out.

For your information, some people (people with rights, by the way), are transgender, not - as you put it - “transsexual.”

And yes, certain transgender folks seek out gender-affirming, medical care. But that is an entirely private matter between them and their doctor!

Your post came off as a little transphobic,
PP. Do better.

While it may be important to you this is a fringe issue irrelevant to the majority of voters. They have bigger fish to fry. They really don’t care about you any more than you care about them and their concerns and their are far more of them that you.

Not immigration. That was a distant third or fourth in the exit polls

The poll are meaningless. People will just say things like "economy," "immigration." But what it really came down to was "all of it." And nobody will--or even knows how to--explain what all of it is. It's really just the far far too left direction the country is going. The Gaza protests, the transactivism, and the inability to talk about it in public for fear of being labeled and maligned. Far more reasonable people are just plain tired of the weirdness.

And who would that be exactly? Obama was a unicorn, both in terms of his policy wonkishness and charisma. There is literally no candidate, in either party, who comes close.

Unfortunately this is true for now. I think the Dems are shortsighted and don’t understand candidate strategy. They are too caught up in “equality” without fully understanding the desires of the American public. This shortsightedness has now cost them two elections and they don’t seem to learn. Literally, any male candidate would have won them this election. Now we get 4 years of a convicted felon without any real checks and balances

What a racist and xenophobic generalization!

You are wrong and also a terrible human, PP.

And for your information, it is “LatinX people,” not Latinos.

This right here, folks. This is why she lost. The complete inability to listen to half the country and understand how they feel and instead jump right to hateful speech.

The tone of this post is why Dems are losing. But keep telling people to do better.

Keep telling yourself that and you’ll have a Republican win in 2028 too.

The democrats need to listen to what is being said here. Don’t stick your head in the sand. Get straight on border issues, inflation, working class issues. Stop with the gender identity nonsense. The next four years will be chaotic. A centrist candidate can win in 2028. Smart democrats will put one forward.

This +100. It's "all of the above" not just one reason. Plus Dems need to stop with the hysteria.

The anit-Jewish protests at colleges like Columbia, NYU, Harvard scared the crap out of me.

I never thought being a Jewish student, I would have felt unsafe on a liberal college campus in the NorthEast? NEVER!!!! So much for inclusion.

I voted for Trump too end this BS

More than a fringe issue. People did care about men playing and dominating women's sports: olympics, ncaa; amateur events; and many others.

It’s Latino and Latina . No one uses LatinX other than white women and dudes who put soy in their lattes

This, overwhelming percentage of Latinos in this country doesn't use or like the term. NYTimes reported it's something like 4-6% that support the term. Maybe start calling people but what THEY think they should be called.
