What happens to Kamala’s momentum now the DNC is over?

VP Harris has a day job plus she was busy today hiring her presidential transition team leader. Meanwhile let’s talk about how Fox News refused to air all the lifelong Republicans who spoke at the DNC, rejecting DJT, speaking loud and proud public ally that they will be voting for Harris.
Also no living Republican President is endorsing the party’s candidate. Fox News is ignoring all this because the cult’s gonna cult.

VPs don't really do much. Not a good excuse, she should have prepared this already because a VP is supposed to be "ready to be president from day 1". I guess that was also a lie and she is in fact not ready to be president from day 1.

Call her stupid all you want. She’s not. She’s a former prosecutor who has run a campaign with amazing message discipline— and discipline, period. It’s going to be an amazing contrast to Trumps rambling and erratic behavior.

Plus, she’s younger than Trump and much more attractive. I think the visual of youth v age and Trump rambling and her shrugging, saying she can’t respond because he’s incoherent and weird and looking younger and better is a JFK v Nixon moment.

She does not need to be policy heavy to win because Trump’s main policies are grievances and retribution. Her upbeat campaign will do well against that.

Plus, Trump is on his heels. He has yet to find a good response to her. None of his insults are sticking. He can’t even land a good nickname.

Maybe I’m wrong. But, I think Trump looks like Biden did in his first debate when he goes against her. Definitely think more people than normal will tune is.

What is her message though? Other than criticizing Trump and throwing out some grand ideas she can never accomplish, what’s her platform?

If she has one then she hasn’t made it public yet. Maybe at her first press conference this week she’ll tell us.

If you think she hasn't made it public yet, then you simply are not listening to her or reading her website.

https://kamalaharris.com/

this is her website. Where are her policies?

DP - thank you for pointing it out. There are no policies listed her website.

It’s ok. Who needs policies when you have joy? And her and Walz are just so nice…

They won’t talk to without a teleprompter. How is that nice?

Walz very famously didn’t use a teleprompter til he became the candidate for VP. I swear some of you just happily baste yourselves in a marinade of right wing propaganda and wonder why it stinks in here.

Let’s Be real. The problem isn’t with Walz. Rather, it’s that Harris gives the public a middle finger each day that passes without a press interview.

She’s coasting, which precisely how her aides have described her work ethic. Then there are her promises, which have shown she lacks a basic understanding of economics.

I fear she avoids the press because the empress has no clothes.

That's the same thing they said about Obama. And every Dem since Bill Clinton has been labeled a left wing radical. It just gets to a point that these criticisms don't mean anything except the candidate is a Democrat and you don't like them. That's fine, but it's not actually a real criticism. It's a preference.

Please don’t compare her to Obama.

Yeah Obama was and still is a talented politician. Everyone tuned in for his speech then tuned out. They had to lie and imply Taylor Swift or Beyonce was coming to the DNC convention’s final night to make Kamalas speech have higher ratings with younger folks.

Pathetic.

Hi, I’m a person so I assume I am part of the “everyone” you mention and I was tuned in well before Obama spoke and stayed tuned in well after he did.

Thanks.

I await her answering unscripted questions from the press. The whole "joy" thing is fine, but I have no idea what her actual platform is or how well she will do speaking off the cuff. That's far more important to me than being "joyous," for crying out loud.

“VPs don’t really do much”… oh really? I thought they solved border crises, reduced inflation, reduced crime levels, etc…

Same here. This was the first DNC I have ever tuned into and I’m in my 50s.

It's time to drop the VPs don't do much line of attack the venture DNC was about how involved Harris is with the current administration.

It's not a winning strategy to pretend she's not.

Highlight the success the ones that are popular with the American public.

Don't pretend that the failures aren't yours but show how they are improving

And show the flaws with the opponents plans, the people voted against it once it shouldn't be hard to remind them why.

She took some the other day on the tarmac, but they were all stupid questions like “what do you think aboit what Trump said about you”.

frankly not sure speaking off the cuff is the best way to pick a president but I can’t see how she’d possibly be worse that sharks/electric boats guy.

It's really no contest.

You'll see after the 9/10 debate.

+1

Harris is better than Trump even without comparing any policies.

Only because she’s NOT TRUMP.
C’mon. Give us something to work with.

Being NOT TRUMP is perfectly acceptable when your opponent is...checks notes...Trump.

Millions of us were in far better shape under Trump's first presidency.
No inflation. Lower grocery prices. Lower gas prices. Peace around the world. A secure southern border and about 10 million fewer migrants residing in the US. Laken Riley and Rachel Morin and Jocelyn Nungaray and many others alive.
I'll take this any day over what Kamala has brought us.
So, it would seem Trump > Kamala

Harris can kiss her chances at winning away now that things are heating up in the middle east again.

What on earth makes you think that?

Just feel like so far all people have heard about JD is unfair terms like dork, loser, creeper, incel, cringe, awkward, weird, etc.

He needs a second chance!

Go for it! I’m not sure how you make an inability to order donuts like a human less creepy. But, Ihope you splatter him everywhere before Election Day. You do that, we’ll remind America he’s one Big Mac away from the Presidency.

Can't wait for the debate between Vance and Walz.
Vance will destroy him.

They’ve got no other choice. Trump is too old and feeble (and too stung about his weirdness being called out) to campaign much.

Meanwhile Harris and Walz are going to be out there campaigning daily. Intelligent, likeable people and all their allies and surrogates.

And you really believe Trump was responsible for world peace and that Covid and its effects had nothing to do with inflation etc? I am not even going to address your craven evocation of murdered women to score political points.
