Then I guess you missed all the posters here who are angry and disappointed that the Democrats and media covered up Biden's condition, that the DNC manipulated the primary process to ensure only Biden would get the nomination, and that they have no idea who is making decisions in the White House. If DCUM is enraged about this you can bet people in swing states are too. All of this means that Democrats presenting themselves as saviors of democracy will not play as well as it otherwise might have. |
People can see the GOP’s fascism and those who are more thoughtful are wondering why in the heck the media hasn’t touched on: the Supreme Court upending all precedent Trump and Putin hanging out together for days Trump lying like a crazy person Trump being outed officially as a pedophile Project 2025 Trump vowing revenge, including military tribunals Etc. |
+1. Get the campaign commercials spamming on this point now already. |
And who are you suggesting? |
If Biden is polling well behind Trump, then who should replace Biden? I don't see a lot of good ideas on this thread.
Harris has a lot of weak points, but she'd wipe the floor with Trump in the second debate (is there one scheduled?) Pete B? Gavin N? Who has a national profile? Jamie Raskin? I don't see any clear choices here. The objective is to beat Trump. Who will bring out the young Democrats who are so angry at Biden for Gaza? Beating Trump is the goal. Nothing else matters. |

Trump's plane parked next to Russian ambassador's plane at Dulles on June 28. Coincidence? Huh. |
I wouldn't assume Harris would wipe the floor with Trump. Her debate history is medicore at best. Her interviews have historically been more terrible than not. Most Americans don't care about Gaza. Real life isn't a college campus. Biden and the Democrats have more to lose pandering to terrorist supporters and besides, Israel made clear it's not stopping till they're finished. Don't tie yourself to a lost cause. I don't see a victory for the Democrats this fall. No matter who is on the ballot. The damage is done and it is too late. The party lost when they hid Joe Biden's serious decline and lied and gaslighted people about it. |
You think this hasn’t been exploited by the media, the media that is so desperate to get Trump in? Literally no Democratic candidate will get a fair shake. They do not look back, they do no process how they’ve reported, they do not learn. BUTTEREMAILS is a joke because it shows the media’s lopsided reporting. There was no there there with Hillary’s emails (or Benghazi) but they still reported them so breathlessly that people took it to mean that Clinton was a crook. Meanwhile Trump did all they accused Clinton of, and more, including reckless storing of top secret documents and waving them about to show them off and it was all discussed very clinically. At no point would a non political person get the idea that Trump was the menace that he is. So it could be Biden, Harris, Newsome, Whitmer, Walz, Beshear… they will be spit roasted like the dog that RFK Jr ate. All is in service to the GOP. |
Bipartisan ticket… Harris and Lynn Cheney? |
That was four years ago and it's a different ball game now. |
This. And we also know that trolling is often posters pretending to be something they are not: “lifetime dems” voting for Trump is a classic. |
No. Not a two female ticket. The Gov. of PA . It's swing state and he is popular. |
Kamala’s most memorable debate line was calling Joe a racist. |
Which he is. Biden has never been good President material. He was picked as least worse against Trump and a pandemic. The Obamas didn't want him at first. Biden is very much the old guard politcian, with ancient ideas on women and minorities. He and his team accomplished some great things, certainly. It's not all bad. We are not comparing him to Trump. Trump is the worse President we ever had and his policies, such as they were, were based on fear, anger and hate. ANYONE compared to Trump is better. It doesn't mean Biden was good. Kamala Harris has a chance to be an objectively good President. Of course she's going to wipe the floor with Trump. Anyone who can talk, stand and walk can wipe the floor with Trump during a debate. Too bad Biden was that far gone. What matters now is to rally behind Harris and get a good turnout at the polls. |
If Democrats do stick with Biden or dissolve into civil war as they decide on someone new - which they will - an independent bid by Lynn Cheney could be very interesting. Very plausible path to the presidency for her in this chaotic situation. And it could finally break our deeply corrupt two party system. |
