?( just curious about this). My kid tried out and didn't make the first team. Seemed like a lot of returning kids. |
|
Is he on another ecnl rl team now? |
No but an equivalent team in a different league. |
Well, if it makes you feel any better, my kid is on another ECNL-RL team and didn't make the Herndon team. Based on the number of Herndon practice jerseys at tryouts, I doubt they had few if any open spots, not sure why pp thinks differently. |
Most clubs are not going to push down their returning players for someone from outside of equal value. Now if they were better than most then room could be made. |
Agree. What seems to happen is the kids who aren't getting playtime on their current ecnl-rl team shop around to try to make a different team to get more playtime, but they have to really stand out at tryouts (which would mean they would be good enough to be playing more on their current team). |
They aren't specific because they don't have facts and are just spinning up for the drama factor.
|
What’s up with the additional tryout date? Are they having trouble filling first and second teams or just looking to fill in lower teams? Mostly wondering about the boys side. I know the girls side has had challenges. |
Depending on the player's current situation they might be able to practice with the age group now.
|
What do you mean, what's up with the additional tryouts? There have always been several rounds of tryouts that even have gone into the summer.
Stop trying to create drama.

I was legitimately curious. Not familiar with how Herndon has done things on the past. Do they carry large rosters? Just wondering how they don’t fill up their teams from two tryouts. |
The tryouts were very early, had weather issues and spring break. Again not uncommon for several tryout opportunities.
People move midyear and could be looking for a club. Tryouts are rarely ever closed Next time, be curious without bashing or being judgmental. There is more than enough on here.

You are reading way too much into it. Not here to bash. You must work there to be this defensive. It’s ok. If your product is good it speaks for itself and this stupid website doesn’t matter. |
