What rules are you breaking that work for you?

I create different throwaway emails to sign up for free trials.

I also use TikTok university to hack my way through website paywalls.

sample as many ice cream flavors at Jennie’s as I can before I pick one.

make “thanksgiving dinner” - including turkey and freeze portions to eat throughout the year

I still use coupons - the kind you need scissors to clip out. Last but not least - I shop at goodwill, clean up the item just a bit and resell it on Facebook marketplace.

The only makeup I wear is lip gloss that costs less than 2 euros. I am going into teaching after years at home not because I have a calling, but because it is the only work I can do competently enough to regain my dignity.

Breaking the rule would be wearing a full face of makeup. Most people don’t wear any makeup anymore.

really? (serious question) i have not noticed this at all, but I don't live in the area

Please don't do this!

I also never turn my car off. It’s totally fine!
it’s been fine so far. Doesn’t mean it always will be. Turn the car off.

Just curious--how is this practice working for you? is turning the car off too hard of an extra step to take?

I do this too.

Half the stuff on this thread isn't "rule breaking." A lot is just humblebragging (except the red light runners and thieves -- you are terrible people; and the weekly showerers -- gross).

What can happen?

Fire. Risk of spark causing a fire. Same reason you're not supposed to use a cell phone and some say not to get back into your car.

Where’s that spark coming from? Deep inside the engine block?

Okay so I might have uttered the line to my husband “Do we have any wine? I have a (zoom) faculty meeting.”

This is not what OP means. You are a bad person.

I also made thanksgiving and Xmas dinner ahead of time and just freeze it. Everyone loves it and it’s stress free.

I always do this.

My sister had a friend whose husband was burned to death from sparks catching fire while doing this. His estate was sued for damage to the station and for burning a nearby patron.

Oh my gosh how awful. This is a rule we should all follow.

How many store provided bags did you use today?

0 1

2 4 or more?

I like to treat stop signs as yields like many other countries do. I save minutes every week!
