There is nothing “pro life” about caring more for the second amendment than innocent children.

The right/ Trumpers- are world's biggest HYPOCRITES! They don't give a rat's ass about kids! Rest assured, they are going to keep up the fight for Their Gun Rights while avoiding all involvement in making the world safe for kids- gun control, adoption, foster care system, healthy schools, nutrition... HYPOCRITES all of them!

Texas is disgusting. I will never voluntarily go there.

Look. I get it. But this is reactionary, simple minded thinking that doesn't help anyone. For every person in Texas who is a Ted Cruz groupie, there is another who is more like you. The poor families who lost children today live in Texas. Advocate for change. Don't attack an entire state because they elected bad leaders through gerrymandering and mid/disinformation and manipulation. Attack the bad policies and politicians. Not Texans. I have no dog in this particular fight, but it irks me because it's silly and removes us from the real point.

How do shooters get into these schools? Our local school keeps front doors locked. Is that not standard practice?

Every public gun nut (not responsible owners) needs to be deluged on Twitter. Post Malone, Tarek el moussa come to mind… imagine if one of them made a big show of giving up/reducing their arsenals or posting their paperwork online and saying how they welcome background checks.

A text from a relative who once said gun control was the #1 political issue to consider:

Me: Gun control is the most important issue in this country

Relative: I agree. That and getting Biden and the democrats out of the White House

So it’s not just the gun nuts.

I'm starting to think that we take a page out of the forced birthers' handbook. Let's get graphic pictures of the victims of school shootings. Blur their faces for privacy, slap them on some posters and do some "sidewalk counseling" outside of the offices of anti-gun-control senators/governors and the NRA.

So there are two kinds of gun owners. The ones you despise-the NRA supporting, good ole boys could not care less what Post Malone and Tarek el Moussa think (by the way, is Tarek el Moussa your version of celebrity) and the other kinds are streem criminals who don't care aboutt laws or, again, Post Malone or Tarek el Moussa. Give it up. Your hashtag idea will not work.

This is the definition of insanity.

AR-15 rifles are designed to maim. Tear flesh apart. Can you imagine being identifying your sweet baby who has been torn apart to the point of being unrecognizable?

I recently watched an Australian courtroom drama called Janet King. An entire season was devoted to a shipment of illegally imported guns. The govt launched a huge task force and splashy trial to arrest those responsible for selling a relatively small number of firearms. That’s how tightly weapons are controlled there. I almost had to laugh. And Australians have had conservative leadership for years! Why do our conservatives have such bloodthirst?

Why do you think violent people are raging like this?

As soon as we get guns off the streets we should absolutely figure that out.

And elementary schoolers don’t carry IDs, so somebody does have to identify them.

But we do have gun laws, and criminals and mentally ill people break them. Keeping guns out of the hands of law abiding, sane citizens will not fix the problem. Crack down on real criminals would be one way to get started. But instead, we're doing the complete opposite.

Good guys with guns are not stopping the bad guys with guns. The gun culture in this country is the problem and the lax regulations are a symptom. It all needs to change.

In this case, the good guys with guns killed the gunman. Why there was not one resource officer at the actual school is a whole other issue. How did he get in?

One resource officer against a mentally unstable shooter with ARs? Who do you think is going to survive that one?

The former officer in Buffalo didn’t survive.

Massive pressure needs to be put on lawmakers who support gun rights. MASSIVE. BY ALL MEANS NECESSARY.

Their financial ties to gun lobbies need to be published for all to see.
