| With the stay of the lower court decision, and the extremely likely reversal to come, the FCPS admissions changes and the equity they seek will stand! |
If you have a problem with any of those complaints, you don't know the meaning of entitlement, probably because you're too busy basking in it. |
A Pyrrhic victory if it is one. |
"erroneously" |
Ya they seem unhinged even hysterical |
We now know who doesn't look themselves in the mirror. |
In a nutshell, this group that makes up 15%-20% of the county went from getting 70% of all TJ seats to 62% and feel this is obvious discrimination? |
It's not even a question of feeling - there were internal school board communications which we now know about which confirmed that it was intentional discrimination. It's ugly that these shills still don't drop their lies in the face of evidence. |
If you up think the end justifies the means then you are better off in a dictatorship. Whether the outcome was good, better or pristine does not matter - what is being questioned is the racist process used to get that outcome. Welcome to the conversation |
DP. The "TJ papers" are pretty ugly. But when the process and the end result of changing the admissions is looked at, the new admissions aren't discriminatory. There are parts I think should be modified, but as they are, they are facially neutral. So even if the school board and superintendent wanted to make a policy that was explicitly discriminatory, they didn't. Have you read the concurrence and dissent from the Fourth Circuit? |
How so? The writing is on the wall that the district court decision will be REVERSED AND REMANDED. |
Because that poster thinks that the new admissions guidelines will be the end of TJ as the #1 high school in the country, the end of TJ entirely! This will ruin the school and doom all of the students! |
You forgot to bold the capitalized text. That is the signal to the courts to agree with you. Well even if FCPS prevails, the school board will see major changes next year. With the scapegoating of Asians in NYC and San Francisco school districts and all the violence that we have seen against Asians in the past 2 years - it is really not a good luck for the Dems countrywide wrt Asians. Hence the Pyrrhic victory. |
The all caps - that's how courts write. Take it up with them. |
Not what I was going for. And no, it won’t be a Phyrric victory. The county will remain bluer than blue and committed to equity. |
